Great review! They have patched flat shots to make them a bit easier. I think they're trying to make flat shots realistic. In the modern game it's very rare to see a player hit a flat shot from the base line. They're a much riskier shot to use mid court when you get a short easy ball to put away.

Flat shots are tricky but try hitting them with full power & push forward on the controller.

Take it on the rise early inside the court or really deep behind the baseline and it is so powerful when combined with r1+b dip lob

Is timing difficult in this game? As it was in past Big Ant Studio tennis games? The timing on ps3 top Spin game was lovely. Is Tiebreak really worth purchasing? Plz somebody do let me knw

Principal problems are: is FLAT shoot and impossiblility to make an ACE with the power serve ( X on PS5 , A on PC/Xbox) , online servers...if you are far that to your opponent player (different continent like America / Europe)

It is horrendous beyond belief. Roster means nothing in this case. The career mode is broken . The play feels like ice skating , glitches galore, i honestly feel like it is still in VERY early access.

Does he seriously NOT bring up this fact?! Topsin to win. Timing doesn't matter. Movement is crazy but hey you get a bunch of "skins" that look like the top players! The AI is busted & I don't think they're gonna fix it either. Idk if they can, but they're def not willing.

Flat shots are not reacting correctly. Along with return of server . Movement needs health. This title needs work. It definitely not balanced well. There is potential here but after so updates.

Maybe you need some practice. Flat shots work when you get enough time so for that you have to predict where the ball is coming and press flat shot button rightaway with right/left triggers

Yes you need to perfectly prepare it with the triggers, but it’s supposed to be the easiest shot in tennis technically speaking. So why the top spin or slice are less demanding in terms of prep? It doesn’t make sense at all. I love a lot of aspects of this game but his gameplay is strange and illogical while it stays easy to win all your games as the top spin shot is totally cheated.

@@deka727 sorry , but it seems like we have to do “ work arounds” to play this game. I’m a fan of tennis and it as well. I had high hopes for this game. I love a challenge and a fresh new approach to playing a game. But, at the moment this isn’t it. Even With all the plus side of things TB offers, gameplay isn’t one of them. Timing on a flat ground strokes shouldn’t be that difficult to hit over the net. Unless you’re in “no man’s land or the ball is at your feet. A regular flat shot is definitely broken. Oh boy return of server? Please… Now if we are talking power, pace and precision then I can understand hitting the ball in the right place and time. These are professional tennis models and I’m playing on medium difficulty? Na, this game needs work. If it didn’t we wouldn’t have seen two patches since release to address game play concerns and issues. I Seen the same happen with 2k25. They had game playing issues and released multiple patches. TB has to potential to be a very good title I can see that. Listen, I don’t mind spending the money but this… no no no.

I love the game, the roster and the gameplay but the cpu need to become much more smarter and agile- i can hit upwrada of 40 winners in a 2 set match on expert just off a serve and forehand because they never recenter fast enough

Good review. I am enjoying the game too but like you l too liked AO Tennis 2. I'm not a topspin fan. I find the gameplay very boring.

I would not even be bothered with that , it is just the gameplay and glitches that are dreadful . You cannot even level up your player in career mode.
