I feel you man, I've been playing CoD for over a decade now and I feel disgusted by these changes. I feel betrayed and down right cheated. I was so excited when the trailer first dropped, I really was, but then when I saw the reserves trailer and the fact that you can't earn reserves in the same way there's just no point in playing beyond tier 100. I spent $150 on Black Ops 4, how is that not enough for them. How does a $150 commitment not support the use of unique content? I'm just sick to my stomach and what's worse is there is nothing we can do but wait and hope Activision and Treyarch show their fans some respect and make right on this. Change reserves to a dupe free system, allow us to earn reserves at a resonable rate, give us a fucking chance to enjoy the content that they have created without gouging us for every nickle and dime we have. I think anybody with some sense can also tell that the only reason they waited this long to drop a new gambling simulation on us was to ensure nobody can get a refund after the holiday sales spike.

XP gives you weapons, skills ext. some stronger weapons are earned at higher levels. Also it pays to be a higher level in zombies to help with completing the gauntlets

During double xp weekends it would be a 50% increase because of mastercrafts, which you could get for paying COD points in the shop for reserves. Since i'm in the hundreds of prestige master, I don't need it but I wouldn't get the 40 reserve items I should if I do my tier skips every day because there's nothing after tier 100. I should mention that its harder and longer to level up in zombies than Multiplayer and Zombies players deserve cool cosmetic too if we're going to be in-game for hours.

Edit 2: I just wanted to add this for the people who do look at this and are not zombies players, we put fucking hours into single games. We put so much time and effort into them high rounds and they aren't easy to make it there, and the terrors we've seen with the Easter Eggs at launch. Not to mention that it's basically impossible to get the classified ending cutscene as far as I know that's still broken. We can't even go for really high rounds right now because Treyarch haven't fixed their shit yet. Treyarch said the max round is a little over a thousand from the 255 that we've seen in Bo3. But really the highest round that we can reach right now is somewhere around 90.

i've been playing this franchise since Call of Duty: Finest Hour. Yes, i am (or was now...) a CoD fanboy. I am one of those who saw it go downhill. I saw this franchise go downhill right before my eyes, as well as other hardcore and casual CoD players. Personally, i left CoD after Bo3, because i've been playing it for way too much time and it started to get boring, but the last nail in the coffin for me was when Bo3 came out, it was a big step for me because i decided it would be my first pre-order ever of a game, as well as my first season pass in any game ever. Nothing was worth it, and this is where i left. Bo3 is now sitting in my steam library with like only 230h. Later down the line i picked up Infinite Warfare because i saw it priced at 4€ on a cd-key resale site, so yeah, got to play this game too, and holy flying fuck its such a garbage game. The only thing i got from it is that sniping was pretty easy for some reason, the longbow was like a point and click adventure game for me, hitting quickscopes like its a walk in the park. But other then that, MY GOD the sappling drop system, as i call it, is HORRIBLE. So i uninstalled this one too, without too much regret since i bought it for 4€ lmao. So yeah, its sinking, and when it shows a little bit of positive, it just goes like "oh yasss the bait worked they are hooked back in, lets fuck'em over with some pay wall hahaha eggs dee" End yeah, thats it, Rip Carl on Duty franchise. Call of duty modern warfare 2 was my first cod game. I fell in love with it as soon as I could get around how to play it properly. It had an amazing story with awesome action scenes, so much feelings. It was very good for it's time. The multiplayer was amazing, filled with different weapons and killstreaks, which for a new cod player was amazing! Calling in my first harrier or ac-130! After that black ops was released which had it's own character, it felt more heavy, revamped the killstreak system and the park system. It was played out in an era you do not usually see in gaming. The story was really heavy at times, but it had the same quality as the last game, but it was it's own. They also put in zombies, which have been my biggest timesink in cod history. Black ops zombies was something you could play anytime with anyone. I use to sit up late at night with friends and play till daylight. If someone ask me what the greatest cod games are, it's these I would fall back to. It felt like later on the games lost more and more character and today they are filled with overly expensive unicorn glitter, just having a resemblance of the games before. It feels alive, but also very dead. It has no soul.

Infinite Warfare is still my favourite COD Game along side World at War. Everything was done perfectly asides from having a few bugs and weapon balancing issues but they are fixed either way. Multiplayer and Zombies was fun and well worth playing because of the Keys. Glad I didn't buy Black Ops 4.

But that was back in the day, where lootboxes and microtransaction weren't a thing. I am quite sure, as I am working for a major company (not gaming but I do not think that's a difference), that microtransaction are a fixed income in most (if not all) triple a companies in the fps-genre in their financial plannings for their upcoming years, so it would not make sense to get rid of that, especially if you look at how much money there is to grab. Sucks for the playerbase, but all we can do is actively boycott these kind of business decisions.

Not 100% sure but I’m at 153 right now and it shows it “stops” somewhere. But it did that before I got to 130. When I hit 130more appeared

Ww2 did have the best because you were able to pick 6 challenges every day that offered supply drops and credits to complete more challenges to get more supply drops. It was all in game credit. You didn’t have to spend money to get a supply drop. Plus you would have a change at winning one after every match. The mwr system was good but the ww2 system is an upgrade from the mwr system that we needed.

Ghost wasn’t even that bad. if that game came with better graphics better score streaks and smaller maps that game maybe on par with the modern warfare series or atleast the black ops series. ghost had some good hit detection some good weapons and at least you got a gun that came with dlc and that wasn’t lock behind a paywall or trap inside supply drops plus I like the perk system in ghost by far the most superior perk system in any cod.

Ghosts had a good campaign and decent multiplayer, but extinction was absolute b o o t y. Infinite warfare had a good campaign. That's it. That's 100% of what they got right. And the campaign wasn't even THAT good. Sci-fi in general is just kinda shit anyways, so there was that, even if it was written better than any recent cod campaign in memory. Ehh, actually aw was honestly better in that department imo.

You know what would fix this: 1. A chance to earn a reserve at the end of game like WW2 2. Contracts so you can earn reserves by doing challenges like WW2 3. A social space so you can do challenges firing range to test out weapons and 1v1 like WW2 I didn’t spend a single bit of cash on supply drops on WW2 I earned all my weapons and stuff that way, I am gutted they stopped all updates for that game because I’d rather play that but if no new content is coming it’s pointless.

I got the game for X-mas and I'm a younger guy so getting the black ops pass was out of the question for what it gave. All I got to play was operation zero and I hit tier 264 as it was the only game I played for weeks. I would see all the cool camos people got from the last operation and was stoked when I got the Boom Box mastercraft. I Would make sure I got on every day to at least get my tier skip. I would even grind 1-2 games after my friends got off. I loved this game. Now imagine joining the game after O-Zero where GUNS are now locked away along with camos behind the reserves wall. That you only get these few cases at a chance to get anything now, not play time not tier skips the only strategy now is to throw money at these loot boxes. I NO LONGER TELL ANY OF MY FRIENDS TO BUY THIS GAME. This game is dying for me the hype is gone, once I finish dark matter and the 100 new tiers I think I will be done with this COD...
