NOTE: This video was filmed and edited before the war in Gaza. With one exception, I am publishing this series in the order that I filmed it, so this episode does not cover the war and its style does not reflect the gravity of the situation today, and the suffering millions are going through in the occupied territories. You can find videos about the war, occupation, and their impacts on Palestinians on my channel, and more will be published in the future.

@@andrewhall127 Yep! This episode is part of the series and the whole thing will be well over 20 episodes when it's finished (I've currently edited 16 so far). The next cycling video is out the weekend after this one.

Amazing to have been able to have immersed yourself in the culture. Fabulous footage. A beautiful people. It’s sad to feel their whole way of being is gradually being eroded.

Remarkable to see the map showing the inward migration of indigenous wandering Arabs towards Israel on a video titled the indigenous Bedouins suffer because of Israel. 👌

I hope that Youssef and Hamza Ziyadne can return to Rahat soon, and that once the war is over Israel is able to re-assess its relationship with the Bedouin. Thank you for this glimpse into their world

I hope so too, but it's difficult to imagine a significant change in approach happening any time soon, unfortunately.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! There are several NGOs and Charities that work with Bedouin communities. I don't know names off the top of my head but you can find them online. Given the current situation in Israel & Palestine, be careful to do a lot of research into the organisations you find.

Dear narrator, this is a long complex topic, due to the differences between different tribes, their orgins, and clashes between them. Within tribes family clans also sometimes fight, just like everyone else. They also like to discuss and argue who are longest in the country, and to whom have they ancestral ties to other tribal groups in other countries. In the specific case of the Azazmah tribe, the inside story is they were Jewish over a thousand years ago, they know this, and will sometimes admit it. However since the official policy of Ben Gurion was not to accept Arabs returning to Judaism (claiming ancestral pedigree) and this was ordered to the Rabbanut - thus overturning Prophetic visions' of returning lost souls - since he was afraid that after the successful War of Independance that "... millions of Moslems would swamp Israel claiming the right to return ... ". So in Azazmah's case they are native to the Negev. The Gedairat may have a similar claim, as might a few more. The Tarabin on the contrary came from Arabia hundreds of years ago. I mention the Azazma as this problem should not have occured. But this is a complex subject and students of the subject can always learn more.

A lot of Bedouin have Jewish roots. It seems like under the Islamic conquer many Jews converted to Islam so they can be kept alive. It is interesting to find Jewish traditions within some Bedouin tribes. Some of them know that and they are keeping it as a secret from generation to generation till this day.

No untrue lol, we actually know our family tree upto 1600 years ago, especially Bedouins. (That’s is if you meant culturally Jewish, which is a new concept). So that is the worse culture group to make that false claim at. If you mean religiously then sure yeah before Islam people were either pagans, Jews or Christian’s and then converted. It happens

@@pedroarthurbarbosa 1400 actually Also, all of your claims are baseless, unlike the proved sketchy history all other religions share, Islam never forced anyone to convert, since it’s not allowed in the scripture, also unlike other scriptures 🤷🏻‍♂️ Nice try tho

@@Alamourem Haha isn't it in the scriptures? Funny that all the bad things done by Muslims are never in the Quran, but Muslims in every corner of the world reproduce these behaviors! Let's talk about human rights in the Middle East? You think because it is The worst region in the world to have basic rights? Why Muslim countries are theocracies that use the Quran as laws ?I see that lying is also a characteristic of Muslims, Prove me wrong if you can. In Quran itself, infidelity to the Islamic religion is punished!

@@Alamourem haha Islam does not force and why do all Muslim countries keep interfering in the free will of their citizens, inflicting human rights? Why do only Muslim countries persecute minorities and carry out terrorist attacks? I don't know if you know, but apostasy is subject to the death penalty in some Muslim countries, it was you who created this culture of violence around a theocracy.
