@neilweaver23564 жыл бұрын
I feel like we need to talk about how hippos are perfect counters to the croc build. They're too massive for the croc to use their death roll ability, and the piercing/crushing damage from the hippo's bite attack is absolutely destructive, even against the croc's natural armor. Plus they tend to work in herds, meaning an attempt against one of them leads to the whole party absolutely destroying you.

@neilweaver23564 жыл бұрын
@@21Arrozito Well, I feel like there's a lot of dangers in the South American servers that hippos aren't prepared for. For example, jaguars and their incredible bite force. Hippos are completely equipped for a ground-up assault like a croc attacking from the water. But jaguars can take the high ground to gain access to the neck, which is an obvious critical hit area. Now, this alone might not be too much for a hippo to handle, especially considering their experience with lions in the African server. However, once you take into consideration the fact that jaguars usually stealth right above their targets, they might be able to one-shot a hippo before they even realize what's happening.

ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT THE CROCS IS THAT THEIR AFK STRAT IS INSANELY EASY. Crocs never fully sleep, instead allowing half of their brain to rest at a given time giving them the ability to afk and camp the resource even harder. Another thing is that crocs can possess the black dot trait which gives them an insane amount of sensitivity on the lower jaw. They can feel vibrations in the water, temperature differences and the difference between different textures. This sensitivity is 10x the sensitivity of the human finger and the crocs detection is increased greatly, making it impossible to sneak up on a croc in the water
@imperator93433 жыл бұрын
It seems like he missed one of the key abilities of the class: extreme energy efficiency. Crocs require extremely infrequent meals due to their cold-blooded nature and ability to stay still and dormant for extended periods of time. This ability is essential to their resource camping strategy, it means they can always wait for meals to come to them, without having to expend energy searching for them.

As an American Alligator main, I do recommend for new players to chill out in swamps, especially at night, since your dark scales trait allows you to easily camouflage in the water. If you’re an American Crocodile main, I also recommend hanging on to that brown and dark patterned scales trait as long as possible before investing your exp into grey scales.

Mosquitoes are a pretty specialized build, and their success is tied pretty closely to human success. Many insects builds spec into the "piercing mouth" ability, but most use it to drain small plants. Mosquitos instead drain animal blood for the extra nutrient points. But most animals have feathers, fur, or scales that require lots of energy to get through. But humans don't. And so, with the expansion of humans, mosquitoes really took off. If human mains get banned, mosquitoes will take a big hit though. Insect mains are crazy like that though, they really find the extremes of specialization like no other build can. I love playing them because each build is like no other build, but you can get screwed by the big patches.

Also noted they feared the alligator subclass in the Florida server so much, they almost banned it in the 1950s. After the Endangered Species Act patch, they actually become one of the most overused classes on that server.

Let us not forget the croc main who went by the gamer tag “Gustave,” his build was so legendary that it even allowed him to tackle the number one faction in the meta game, humans. Having a human kill counter of at least 300 (though the exact number has not been officially reported by the data keepers) other players labeled him as the “Man Eater.” Unfortunately, human mains were so fearful of Gustave that they attempted to have the devs remove him from the game. In 2019 it was reported that Gustave’s croc main had vanished and he has not been seen on Outside servers since. I believe that the devs over at Outside banned Gustave in order to calm the human mains in the African server, who were afraid that their play through would be ruined by a 6 meter long killing machine.

There was also another player named Hitler, who switched from the Nazi clan to the Soviet clan following an epic clan battle. He was simultaneously loved and hated at his new clan. However, ultimately he was cared for deeply, and logged double the normal hours played as the average croc build. (For real, hitler the croc.)

Another thing I'll have to note is the variety of crocodiles sub-species. We have medium sized characters, like caimans, to bigger ones like alligators, then nile crocodiles to the absolute unit that is the saltwater crocodile. Another interesting fact is that these species usually don't meet eachother and are placed in different servers. Now, let's take a moment and immagine saltwater crocodiles in the South American server.
