Your right about the anxiety. Hiatal hernia causes bad anxiety. I have experienced it more than enough

Same story. Nausea and pain. Had to leave work twice last year to go to ER for IV Reglan bc nausea just wouldn't let up. All this and I am a physician. this has been very disheartening. I refuse to ever take a ppi again. Severe rebound reflux same as you. Now I'm 100 days out from TIF. And still symptomatic. Bad flare 3 weeks ago. I tried Elavil last year but too groggy to function. Flare has calmed but still daily symptoms. Tried Elavil (amitryptiline) again last night at a lower dose after watching one of your videos and had a much better day today. No symptoms til late next night. We'll see what happens but I do believe hypersensitive esophagus at least plays a partial role. Thank you for your videos.

How long are you planning on taking amitriptyline?

I don't plan to stop. I did speak with my doctor about this back in May 2022. She said given that it has not necessarily been that long yet that she would recommend I continue taking it. At this point, given it is working so well, I just don't see that I'll stop taking it at any time in the near future. I might start looking at this a little bit later but I'm arbitrarily saying maybe in late 2023 I'll revisit this based on how I feel. But honestly as I think I mentioned, I think I would be terrified to stop so I don't see a reason why i would since I haven't seen any other side effects or problems with the medication.

Would you recommend tif for my lpr? I suffer from silent reflux and anxiety and panic attack for 8 years. I Don't want ppi. They make me sick and weak

So sorry..but pop is another ...Mountain dew is as bad as Coke..that's what started mine...it's the acid ...even the zero sugar pops (soda...I call it pop) AND soda fountain drinks..

Yea...not so good. One of the things that I enjoy is a problem but, after surgery, etc. I am able to have pop/soda without a problem. Whether it causes a problem again in the future is to be seen. But, it is one of the few things I enjoy and have a hard time giving up. I don't drink, smoke, no drugs other than doc prescribed meds, I rarely eat red meat, fried foods, etc. So for me, pop is the guilty pleasure. Wish I could stop but Mtn Dew runs in my blood. 🤣 If I can have it occasionally, I'm good with that.
