Would it be the same for you in Singapore, do used cars hold their value better than new ones?

I've only just found this. How i used to idolise this man on top gear, so much enthusiasm, so much genuine underplayed knowledge, a genuine racing driver AND an all round nice guy. He's the sort of guy you just want to give a big hug to, and then get thrown around the track. Followed by a pint

Man that E70 X5 has a timeless look. Best BMW design to date IMO and just a great family car.

I really enjoyed that. It's nice seeing the "normal" cars someone with as much experience and exposure to everything that's out there chooses to buy. It's easy to collect a lot of exotic cars when money is no object, but when you actually want to get value for your money, what would an expert buy? Thanks, Tiff.

Bollocks to the daily cars Tiff, they just need to work, it's the house where the money has gone! What a beautiful property! I completly agree with the lighweight, FWD, manual cars, my little 1.1 Saxo in zest yellow would pitch around corners on the outside wheel nicely, whilst maintaining about 5,000rpm, little joys. I equally love the thought of owning a large barge Merc at some point.

I completely Agree with you, real estate is something you should really invest in. My family has an old 2005 Nissan Sunny N16 sedan because we bought two houses in the span of just two years, and are living of the rent we receive from those properties as well as others. And it is really helping us out as businesses are closed due to lockdowns and such. The Old Nissan doesn't need that much of a maintenance, just regular maintenance. The fuel economy has deteriorated over the years but reliabilty is what we really want. Just after 2-3 years, we get it touched up and such. We drive it to rough roads and such. Also carry a bunch of load when needed and it's doing pretty great.

And, if you blow the engine up in a cheap little hatchback, it's not a big deal because you can get a nice fun little car for a grand easily, and if you're willing to part out the old shitbox you can make most of your money back.

But definitely a better driver and probably a better reviewer too. Clarkson is a great entertainer but lets face it his journalistic accuracy is questionable lol

@@soundseeker63 Agreed 100%. The Grand Tour crew are great entertainers, but I've always had more faith in guys like Tiff and Chris Harris when it comes to more accurate reviews.
@richardhammer1874 жыл бұрын
@@iaintyourgganbu4715 Harris is totally out of step with anything below about £100k, or "race car", the video where he went round dismissing some award winning cars outright (and offended most of the driving community by similarly dismissing all SUVs) was frankly embarrassing.

A refreshing and great take on a “normal” presenters real world life, just working for the love of it, to make a living ... much respect . A real down to earth guy. He would definitely be one of your best mates....
