Tiffany is classy classical pianist. Her talent reveals who she is. She doesn't need to wear revealing clothing (i.e. shorts, cleavage, 5 inch heels). She is graceful, always on the piano, articulate in her speech without a hint of "I know I'm good". She let's her dexterity and skill speak for itself. Imagine being accepted at Juilliard at the age of 8. She is humble, none of the "look at me people" attitude that some pros have. Refreshing. She is truly an exceptional talent.

I wanted to add that one day, when all of us are gone, Tiffany will be talked about like we discuss Mozart, Bach and Scarlatti today. She is that good.

Tearing down someone in order to build up another is a really bad look. While i'm not a particular fan of your target's wardrobe choices, there is no question of her monstrous talent. She has also recognized the need to draw attention to herself through her dress and social media presence, just as Tiffany is with her KZbin channels. It is likely that if she didn't have her social media you never would have heard of her.

I could not agree with you more. While I appreciate pianists like Yuja Wang and Kathia Buniatishivili for their skills as accomplished artists I find the “hey look at me” raw sexuality/exposure distracting and out of place for the setting. Do you want to be appreciated for your artistic skills or your sensuality? One is commendable the other cheap. Tiffany is both humble and classy in addition to being VERY gifted and accomplished. I respect and like her.
@stevenmeyer9674

@@topturretgunner While i tend to agree with your take about her wardrobe choices, i also saw Yuja being involved on a youtube channel show where she not only showed a real sense of humor, and not taking herself that seriously, laughing when she was being made fun of. She also got what appeared to be thoroughly drunk during the show.

There are many who play well with superior technique but few really "communicate" to individual audiences. Ms. Poon is one of those few gifted as such. She talks to us so intimately and touches our hearts so directly but gently. That is why she should be compared with those keyboard legends in the history.

Hi, I had to leave right after the final chord of Tiffany's encore. I want you to know that my boss, who is an accomplished musician (piano and organ) listened to the encore, and said "Rising Star? The way she plays she's already risen & established!" - he's not a man to make compliments like this one so easily. Brava again, Tiffany, you made it! 👋👋👋 Thanks again to Gilmore for live-streaming this recital in such high quality!

Beyond excellent, There is nothing I can add to the wealth of supportive and informed comments so well expressed below. Except, perhaps that the extra-special thing with Tiffany is that she has chosen to share her ‘journey to perfection’ so candidly with us through her personal vlogs. Thus, in a very small way, it allows us also to share remotely in her success. It’s such a privilege . Thank you Tiffany.

I was reading the comments on Ms Tiffany Poon's performance and the discussion veered round to her playing of the ornaments in the Scarlatti sonatas. In my opinion, how a musician interprets any piece of music is a result of several factors- the way she has been taught to look and listen by her teachers, her comfort level with plaiyng technique and most importantly her own inclination. As listeners, we are all different as are the musicians themseves. For me, variety is the spice of life and I respect and welcome it in any musical performance. Lastly, I have been following Tiffany (on KZbin ) since she was a teenager and I think it true to say that however she chooses to portray a musical work is arrived at after a great deal of thought and hours of practising. I look forward to the changes that will inevitably come in her interpretations as she grows older and wish her many many years of music making. Sakuntala Basu, listening from India

Einfach Bravo! What an incredibly broad spectrum Tiffany Poon has mastered to perfection. She is the most emotional pianist I know. It is an absolute pleasure to listen to her. Unfortunately, I don't have the words to describe in more detail how I perceive her. Simply bravo!

Dear Tiffany, so mature for such a young age! I listened to your concert, the two pieces of Scarlatti were very good. Regarding laughter at the end of your piece, this is probably a reaction to your virtuosity and the jump in time from 1685 to 1961! Bravo Tiffany, despite the jet lag, the flu, that resilience. Congratulations also on your quarterfinal at the Clara Askill Contest. I hope I can listen to you again very soon.

right?? It's like she was literally born to play piano, even the proportion of her shoulders, her height, her hands, they go so well together! Being with my instrument is like a fight to see which of us will win lol.
