Tiffin University Arts Alumni Award 2024 - C. Theodor Forde-Stiegler

C. Theodor Forde-Stiegler (BA '04), recognized with the inaugural TiffinArts Alumni Excellence Award.
As a student, Theo was an unparalleled contributor to the establishment and growth of TU’s music program, serving not only as an invaluable student vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer, but as booking manager for TU’s first extensive high school tours, coordinator of multiple music festivals and campus events, producer of the program’s first-ever recording projects, and facilitator of the first European tour by a TU ensemble. Possessing the highest level of intelligence, work ethic and humility, Theo was simply the ultimate servant-leader, and a model of both student and professional success.
In all areas of his life and career, Theo continues to be a role model for those around him. In his roles as organizational consultant, musician, producer-engineer, entrepreneur and coach, he himself is the ultimate example of his own areas of professional and academic specialty -- collaborative change and continuous improvement. Currently an Instructor and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Schmidthorst College of Business at Bowling Green State University, Theo is pursuing his Doctorate in Organization Development and Change. For a decade he has helped organizations and businesses around the region develop collaborative practices that transform organizations, revitalize communities, and develop human potential, with clients including City of Toledo Youth Services Division, National Extension Foundation, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, and many others. He has also worked for the State of Ohio, and as a writer, content developer, editor and publisher. He currently is an active bass player, singer and worship band leader in Toledo, and also teaches Therapeutic Drumming and Percussion.
Theo was responsible for many artistic and organizational firsts at Tiffin University, and continues to serve as a shining example of both personal and professional achievement. Therefore it is with great pride that Tiffin University honors him with the first-ever TiffinArts Award for Alumni Excellence.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
Tiffin University offers a wide variety of commercial music performing opportunities, from a cappella groups and cover bands to a hip hop collective and a songwriting ensemble. These groups perform and record extensively, giving students valuable real-world experience.
THE PERFORMING ARTS LAB
TU’s Performing Arts Lab (The PAL) features a professional recording studio, keyboard and production lab, as well as large rehearsal spaces for TU bands, choirs, dance teams and commercial ensembles. With over 14,000 square feet of studio, rehearsal, teaching and practice space, the PAL serves the 200 TU students involved in our 20+ extracurricular music ensembles and our cutting-edge commercial music degrees.
