Hi friends! I am going back to school for AI and Machine Learning. I have been self-teaching myself on these subjects and felt that it was time to enroll in a postgraduate program. I am still working full-time on top of studying, and I wanted to share with you how I will be managing my time. I hope this will help anyone who is interested in finding balance (okay, maybe that doesn't fully exist), but at least getting closer to it when wanting to upskill while also working full-time.
Let me know if you have any questions!

The program I am enrolled in is called "Practical AI and Machine Learning Program" at George Brown!

Thank you so much for your insights. I am 52 and just finishing up my CS degree in a few months. I am always looking for strategies to improve my study habits for in or out of school. Learning is lifelong. The difference between you going back to school and not is that one year from now, you will have something you wouldn't have otherwise. I love your work!

I am doing a masters degree in AI and I can say that it is very interesting. I started last October with pretty much no knowledge about machine learning and python. I feel like I came a long way already. I would certainly be looking forward to having more videos related to AI and machine learning from you. You have a certain style of your own in teaching concepts online. I would surely be following 🙂

@@sashasharkh I come from a technical background since I work as a software developer. Having said that, I still had a lot to catch up on. Certainly, my technical background did help at some point. If you are considering doing it, kudos to you then too. My suggestion is to be kind on your self as you learn the basics and take time to get the intuition firing on the basics without reading too much into what the grades and how your peers are doing. You have a different begining, but today, with consistent committed effort, and, good mental and physical health, it is possible to wrap your head around the skills - what with all the you tube videos available and the quality of tools you have today. I have started learning Python, but I do not know what I should be specialist in. I like programming part more than designing interfaces, and I need to do something big in my life so I think in AI. But, in the other hand, I think maybe I have to learn back-end development to get job faster, because it is easier and I have no job right now.

Just a caveat with this from someone who already did a Master in a smilar field. Unless you are very interested in statistics and patient enough to get to the juicy part of ML and AI, most of the time you will be learning a lot of outdated models and early theories. Don't be discourage that you don't understand anything because people surrounding will most likely do not know anything as well. A lot of buzzwords you will have to learn but in the end if you filter them out, it's very simple and most of it are just maths and logics.
