Filipino (in the US) here! So happy to see you make Arroz Caldo! My mom taught me to make it with half regular white rice and have sweet rice (which isn’t sweet of course, but makes it thicker). But the way you made it is traditional too. Hits the spot when it’s cold and wintery!❤❤❤❤❤

Tiffy: you will always remember your dad, even in your old age. There are so many memories and triggers that will bring him to your mind. Birthdays, holidays, family, trips, songs, smells, etc. He is forever with you in your heart. As I've mentioned before, I lost mine by his own hand. I missed him the most when I married and when I got my graduate degree. I was always so independent that he knew I would go on for my master's degree eventually. He just never knew when. He never saw me graduate nursing school which shifted my income tremendously. He thought that I'd never marry because I was too opinionated, independent and headstrong. Forty years later, still going strong. I can remember as a young girl helping him get the ornaments out of the box in the closet, setting up the real tree, putting up lights and prepping the foods that were prepared in my culture for the holidays. Forty-eight years later. Consider that a gift.

Had to come back and finish watching, I love chicken feet! So my Husband is Mexican and they eat chicken feet so when I first got together with him I was initially freaked out then I became pregnant with our first and craved them 😅 it was so weird and surprisingly liked them a lot.
