I hate to be one of those guys who only comments when your giving something away, but here I am. Either way I've been watching your channel since I ran across it about 2 years ago, and have learned a lot along the way. It doesn't matter about the "prize", this is really a long overdue thanks for taking the time to post these vids!!

I like watching your reviews. Because I was able to watch you use and review the Lincoln 210mp (with the pros and the cons) I bought one of them. (I wanted occasional spool gun use more than I wanted ac tig) .My point is: I wish there was a way to inform Lincoln that YOU deserve the credit for my plunking down 1700 for the machine and all of its accessories. Everything you have covered on your reviews has been highly accurate.

New foot pedal will be available later this year. But for now we offer an upgrade option of an American made SSC controls pedal, which is essentially the same as Lincoln uses.

They are made in China. However, we use US, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, and other country sources on major components. For comparision, Miller is only assembled in the USA now with many parts coming from China and elsewhere. The lincoln featured above is made in Mexico out of imported parts from all over the world.

Just found this video, even if I do not plan to buy a TIG welder in the near future because I can´t afford it I think I learned a lot about it - so I may be ready when it comes to it. Your welding detail shots are great! Did not find anything near as good as yours yet. Great reviews. Cheers!

I stumbled upon your videos and have been binge watching them for the last few days....I wish I would have had this info 10 years ago. I got pretty good with MIG and can could get by with stick but I can only imagine how good I could have gotten if I would have had this info. Never had a chance to TIG but I've always wanted to. Maybe I'll win!!!! Keep up the good work I love your channel.

I bought a primeweld 225 ac/dc tig machine. 800 bucks on Amazon. 3 year warranty. Pulse for ac or dc. Comes with a ck worldwide(best in the business) torch. It welds smooth and clean. I love it. The fabrication series has a review on it that sold me.

Nice overview of some newer, nicer values in AC/DC TIg units on the market. I did buy an Everlast 210EXT (2015) due to the influence of some of your early videos demonstrating it in it's earlier, slightly more compact version, which obviously has the same specs and performace as the current model year. But I like the newer interface and am completely satisfied with the 210EXT after nearly two years now. Actually, the longer I have it the more I like it, even though it's my first AC/DC TIG unit, but I did use and enjoy a DC-only TIG unit before that, and then decided to include aluminum into projects of mine. Anyway, I'm glad I spent a little more to get the advanced features of the 210EXT, i.e., the wave forms, digital interface, water-cooler plug, and the memory function ability. The 210EXT is undoubtedly a best-value in the advance-features-class. The Everlast staff, warrantee, service, support, and forum have been good too. I added an SSC pedal, but then tried the new CK SteadyGrip pistol-grip amptrol device, and really dig it with the 210EXT, as the handle makes for a nice prop and it keeps your hand off an air-cooled torch, besides, it's actually "steady" too. Ha, ha, ha... ROCK ON, Jody!

@newjerusalemtimes i am looking at the 210ext now. Are you still satisfied with it? You mentioned staff and warranty have been good. Have you had issues with your machine?
@NewJerusalemTimes
@NewJerusalemTimes 2 жыл бұрын
@@jacojanks5985 Ive had mine now for over 6 years, and if it blew up today (I was just using it a couple hours ago) I’d buy another one tomorrow. I’m convinced it’s comparable in advanced features to the Dynasty 210DX w/CPS, which with a pedal and the optional SD card that unlocks the Miller hobbled features is now over $7000, I believe. An Everlast 210EXT can still be had for about $1600, on sale, delivered, tax-free to most outside of Alta Calif., which is about the same as I paid over 6 years ago. So, THANK YOU, China, for holding down the Inflation rate for us here on the North American continent. The 210EXT reportedly now has a more robust HF start module. Mine has the contactless HF daughterboard, but they went back to a contact-point style some years ago; the interface and housing has been updated a bit too. But the specs are relatively unchanged, like that brilliant 60% duty-cycle and maximum amperage. I don’t the Dynasty comes close to that, and Mr. TIG did a video that proves the 210EXT has a conservative 60% duty-cycle rating (See his Duty-Cycle Shootout video). So, yeah, RUN, DON’T WALK, in getting a 210EXT before some new trade barrier goes up or a new anti-Asian tariff is imposed here on the North American continent. The advanced features on a unit like the 210EXT are compelling, to me, and I recommend them even to a newbie, which may seem like counterintuitive advice. What I mean is, like the Triangle waveform on AC was very helpful for me early on in welding thinner aluminum, and it still is. The Advanced Pulse, when used non-reductively gives surprisingly more penetration on aluminum than any 210 amp unit around, since it is usually set for half-time on DCEN, and half on AC. I know, crazy! But crazy, good, if you want more punch on aluminum. So, I don’t think a 210EXT is a unit that most anyone can “grow out of”, and that’s good for newbies too. The 210EXT has slightly fewer features than the 255EXT, so it may be less confusing for newbies, i.e., no EASY START function of SPOT function, which makes the interface less-busy. I thoroughly enjoy and endorse it! I'm guessing that you will too.

Josh Capasso I love my Squarewave 200! I am not a welder of the same caliber as Jody here but for what I do and for what I want to do it is an excellent welding machine. The stick side of it is also very powerful and carries a very smooth arc with either 6011 or 7018. The problem I am having though is when I back off on the pedal when doing tig my auto darkening welding shield flashes me. I have a midrange welding shield.

Great stuff Jody. Love your videos. Side note. Forgot what video it was but on the video you made an "insulator" for a scratch start Tig torch using a bottle. Great idea but I know for me I always have left hand gloves laying around with a finger blown out but than I found slide the argon hose through the hole, tape it and than clip your stinger in there and there's your insulator. Great stuff sorry for the rant. Keep it up man.

I just picked up the Lincoln Garage Pak which includes the 210 MP and the Square Wave Tig 200 for $1999. That is $600 less than usual. I was looking at the Everlast 255ext and then later getting a AC/DC tig from Everlast later but would have had about $3000 or more in that setup. I contacted Everlast about getting their machines without their "TIG kits" because the 200 DV was offered without TIG Kit on the website. I wanted to just add my own foot pedal and TIG torch and save the money in not having to get the accessories included with the Everlast machines. However, I was told that I could not get any of the other Everlast machines without also getting their TIG Accessories. I feel like for what i will be doing which is hobby jeep and motorcycle work The Garage Pak was a great deal to cover all processes. Hope I made a good choice anyway.

I bought the Square Wave 175 based partly on Jody's opinion of it on past videos. Shortly thereafter, Lincoln introduced the SW 200. I would rather have it, or something comparable, for portability which the 175 is definitely not. As he mentioned, the post flow is fixed (at 15 seconds) which I hate. You can go through an 80 cubic ft. bottle of argon real quick. It's a decent machine though for a small shop or home use & it's a great stick welder. I think Jody has some of the best welding content on KZbin & I like that he also reviews tools & accessories too.

I've owned a everlast powertig 210 EXT and I would never buy an Everlast product again. My Everlast didn't last forever, after one year of very light use it broke, I shipped it to them, I was quoted 4- 6 weeks for it to be repaired. 2 months later they hadn't even looked at my unit . 3 (THREE!) months later it was finaly repaired. I sold it and bought a squarewave 200 I couldn't be happier.

Hey Jody, First off, you are awesome. Second, Between these 4 machines, which one would you say is your favorite and just in general, most enjoyable to weld with? Really looking into the Everlast machines for here at our shop and even one for myself personally. Looking into the Powertig 255ext for the price point and features you get. Also the duty cycle at the amperage we usually run at a 200 is usually fine though there are times 250 amps would really just save my butt. Just curious on your personal opinion and how you feel about those in particular regardless of if it is negative or positive. Just looking for some quality words, Thanks- Devyn

hey Jodi...hope that's how ya spell it...lol so I picked me up a tig gig welding aluminum sand casted parts to 6063 sch 40 aluminum pipe with a miller dynasty 350. of all the education I have, my super is saying/wants 3 pass welds and washing them all together to get a "solid bead"..... This goes against everything I thought I knew about welding aluminum. Their welds are solid white and washed out with massive heat pumped into the part...and no preheat. Could you do a small segment for this? The shoulder off the pipe is about 1/2". I'm sure I'm missing some info here....but to see a professional and his settings might go a ways with a super that got his title via friend....and has no business welding (in my opinion )

I have a Miller EconoTIG machine which I believe is essentially the same as the Lincoln Tig 175 (Transformer, No Freq control, fixed post flow). I can't weld Aluminum worth a crap with that machine. I had a couple of scrap pieces from a golf cart frame and I could not really get a puddle started. I also had problems with the tungsten getting really hot and eroding. I started out with 1/16 Tungsten and switched to 3/32 which worked a lot better but still dismal results. Any suggestions for welding aluminum with a transformer machine would be awesome. (Like using Helium. . .)

Changing torch cable is a pain on Miller but well worth it , and ditch that thumb wheel right away ,

I feel like the AHP Alpha TIG 200 should be on the list somewhere, very cheap and capable machine.. At $850, I couldn't ask for more. The arc is nice, and you can weld just about anything, I've thrown beads on soda cans.

How do you maintain torch angle on socket welds? I just tried and was a disaster to say the least. I can not get the hang of going around pipe. Keep killing tungsten and no good results at all

Any experience with the everlast warranty???? I have only had Lincolns, but for the money the everlast looks like a good way to get a dedicated Tig machine....

The lincoln squarewave 200 has way less features than the everlast. I wonder how many new owners are surprised when they first use it to see no adjustablity for pre/postflow! HTP invertig all the way baby!

hey bud I wanted to know your opinion on the everlast 164si is it worth it I do welding side jobs nd can really use the ac DC nd the plasma , , also was curious to see if you had a fix or alternative to the whole gas connection , , when ever I would need to switch gasses or processes I'd have to disconnect tanks and it's a hassle is the maybe a multi entrance gas valve than I can just turn to switch from gasses for example going from tig to plasma and needing compressed air , thanks in advance
