You know why I like your channel? Besides the fact that I enjoy all I learn from you about welding and your various projects, you have a very sincere, humble demeanor that really comes through to your viewers. I’ve watched your older videos and I can see how over the years you’ve become more relaxed/natural in front of the camera. I have done a lot of videos myself (between KZbin and live-streaming) as the VP of a patients rights organization so that’s why I notice things like this about other content creators. You speak clearly, look directly into the camera with a pleasant expression (those things really matter in that it helps the viewer connect with the speaker). You also do a very nice job interacting with your subscribers in the comment section. This all conveys the unspoken message that you enjoy what you’re doing and helps to keep the viewer engaged. I know my comment isn’t related to welding (which is why most of us are here), but I just wanted to share with you what I see (coming from someone with a lot of experience who knows first hand, being in front of a camera isn’t the easiest thing at times). I wanted to leave you some feedback in regards to the consistently good job that you do! Have a great day Brandon and keep up the good work!

Man you are a genius . . . using aluminum kept the weight down and was easy to work with. Nice welding machine as well. I have not interest in Tig, but you made it look easy . . . enjoyed the video my friend!

Thanks brother! Aluminum is a lot of fun to work with @Daniel Chambers. I'm not great at TIG welding because I don't do a lot of it but it's very relaxing. That cart you built on your channel came out nice also!

Hey Brandon... So I wanted to tell you that I made a purchase last night of the Fronius TranSteel 2200 w/TIG package... Free shipping, and a free 2nd MIG gun setup for MIG aluminum... The deal was too good to pass up, I'm super excited...

As always, Brandon, the set up, pre planning, and preparation are invaluable information. Keep up the great work!!! It would be nice to have such a wonderful machine, but unless I win the lottery, that is not in my future!!! I have fun with my converted Harbor Freight and the old stick welder!!! Be well, be safe, be Blessed!

Excellent video! I notice you have a new welding plate on top of your normal welding plate. How come? Is that because you are welding aluminum?
@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 2 жыл бұрын
@Eddie Agha thank you! That plate is just to keep the clean aluminum from picking up steel conntamination. Not necessary but just a precaution.

@CRJ12: If only. I appears that innovation, especially in old technologies like welding are at a standstill in America. Whereas companies like Yeswelder are kicking American butt. I agree with you in principle, but sometimes you just have to breakdown and go with innovation. Maybe that will encourage American companies to get off their collective butts.

They say they fold like oragami if you jump them, so I haven't. They make a cradle that strengthens the frame but we ride it prety easy.

You weren’t kidding about the belt sander😂. Why were you running 28cfm of gas? Thought if you are running say a #8 cup you would set your gas at 16cfm
@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 2 жыл бұрын
Im guessing my guage is off or there is a restriction somewhere or something else. You are correct, general rule for gas is 2x the cup size. I use that as a reference but slight wind in the shop, guage variations, how the torch body pieces are milled ect will all impact that figure which is why i use a test piece and set the gas based on that. Im looking for a stable arc with good cleaning action without black specks in the puddle

14.8 volts is a little high be careful that could cause issues with the battery
@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 2 жыл бұрын
Is that the high end of the range? I'm thinking maybe I need to spend more on a voltage reg ?
@AntonioClaudioMichael
@AntonioClaudioMichael 2 жыл бұрын
@@BrandonLund you don't want to charge any 12v battery for vehicles or bikes any higher then 14.5 anything higher can damage the cells in the battery or mess up the Chemistry I would get a voltage regulator to help keep it from going so high
@BrandonLund
@BrandonLund 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy. I will keep an eye on it. If it fries this battery i will be sure to get a new regulator. Im guessing its letting a little too much through it. I guess you get what you pay for. I think the regulator rectifyer was like 15 bucks and the battery around 13 lol

@@BrandonLund hi Brandon, you do no need so much gas when welding aluminium, as you would for metal or stainless, for example, if using a number 5 cup you only need 10 to 12 CFH for aluminium, hope this helps cheers Garry, UK
