Myself, and several other members of the local Muskies Inc chapter have had the Utah tigers just pound their underwater cameras. They seem more interested in the camera than the lure most of the time. We suspect that the camera is emitting some sort of electrical field that interests the fish, but who knows!
@sageen4 жыл бұрын
Nah, its more that the bait is following the camera so the pike thinks its another creature that the bait is hunting. Also electric baits barely work on pike 🙂
@brecibros24692 жыл бұрын
@@sageen pike and muskie hunt Differently. Pike hunt by sight. Muskie hunt mostly by vibrations I learned that yesterday when I dragged in a hog of a muskie fishing for walleye. It was dark as hell no way a muskie could have seen it
@marcusbullock6302 жыл бұрын
Both muskies and pike use eyesight. Muskies are just smarter and dont just outright attack. They follow your lure and stalk it. It can take over 20 minutes to get one to decide your lure is safe.

After having swam in my share of Minnesota lakes over the last 65 years, I have had muskies follow and get very close without actually striking my fingers or toes, seems more like a curiosity thing than anything else. But, I have heard of a handful of news stories in Minnesota where a "large fish" has nipped at little kids while they swam. If you've ever looked closely at the teeth on a muskie or northern pike, razor blades is putting it nicely

I live in Arnprior Ontario Canada , we're on the Ottawa River, I read a fishing magazine that said the next world record Muskie will be caught here in this part of the river. Between the dam in Fitzroy Harbour and Pembroke. About a 60 mile span.

These muskee catch so much fish that they grab bait very lazily, Almost as if they're tired from eating so much prey. But Once they're hooked they go nuts
