Variety of tiger stripe camouflage pattern uniforms. All of these items came from estate sales & estate auctions. These came from officers and enlisted personnel who served in the US Army (including MIKE Force, Special Forces, Phoenix Program, Military Police), US Navy, US Air Force & USMC.

as a vietnamese, your collection is a treasure . In spite of tiger stripe belong to south vietnam army, but extremely hard to find in vietnam nowaday . after 1975, all the soldier have to burn their uniform to protect their family, if communism goverment find out we might go to jail . ONCE AGAIN, your collection is a treasure !

An old friend of mine that served in the S/F said that after many days in the field they would throw away their tiger stripes as they were deteriorating to the point that they were falling apart.

Tiger Stripe goes way back to French Lizard Pat, and in Vietnam, "Tiger Stripe" patterns, variations in design and fabric sources Lost the Plot,

The French Foreign Legion included a fair number of German Veterans and SS. Tigers. Special Forces also included some. The 10th SF were in a former SS barracks. That may have contributed to the name. I'd guess British paint striping and French Lizard patter. Yet the Special Forces Lizards did not have the ring to it as the claimed Tigers? Very big lizards if I remember correctly.

Incorrect. Plenty of photos and examples exist of LRRP, MIKE Force, USN, etc tiger stripe with insignia.
