I just started following you about one month ago but have reviewed many of your older videos, including your first one. I'm just impressed with how you've progressed, tried different things from exercises to diet, kept what you thought worked and tossed what didn't, always in a very low-key, non-differential tone. You seem to have found balance in your life, rare for someone your age. I'm impressed and respectful of where you've arrived. I've started doing your stretching exercises and beginner yoga and feel so much better in many ways hard to describe from just getting out of bed to my daily 30 mile bicycle riding. At 65, I feel really great. I always look forward to your next video. Keep it up as your a real inspiration to the people who follow and should follow you!

This is a life saver , I go to the gym every day and for the past couple of months I’ve been dealing with Lower back pain so bad that I can barely get out of my car , I’ve done ton of stretching and nothing compares to this Video , after just watching this once I already feel better than and stretch I’ve done .

I love your videos and find you to be such a calm teacher, thank you. No matter how I stretch (I very determined) I end up feeling tight and hurting. In other words, I make some progress and then it doesn't seem to last.every stretch seems to make my back pain worse

Have you kept up with this? Has your tightness improved and if so how did you go about it? The next day after training pancake my lower back is achy and tight

I love your videos, they help me so much! Recently my sciatica nerve has been paralyzing me, literally. I have done the hip opener videos which do help. Do you have a video on the sciatica never? If not, can you please make one. I just don't know what to do with this pain. Thank you!

Tom, great videos. Thanks. I’ve seen variations of the last stretch you have in this video with different directions regarding which way your palm should be facing (towards vs away from you). Any specifics regarding this?

Alright, so that's hip mobility and QL stretching down. That last variation in the QL session made me realize how tight my shoulders are. Guess where I'm headed next? Thanks, Tom. I love your videos.

I need to work on light rehab/prehab for my hips/lower back, shoulder and wrists but doing all of the workouts/stretches everyday along with regular strength training, skill training, mobility and cardio is time consuming. What would you suggest? My thoughts are to either choose one area (say just wrists for example) to focus on everyday then move to the next once I feel I've gained greater strength after a mesocycle OR to do all of them and just on alternating days. What are your thoughts?

Great stuff! The QL is a muscle that helps out a lot in different kind of movements. Then it would be reasonable to assume that strengthening the QL also makes sense. Is that true? On the internet I find mainly stretches for the QL, but nothing about strengthening the QL.

Thanks your channel has very useful exercises. However, what kind of treatment do you suggest in addition to these exercises? I have a very tight QL on the right side and a tight mid back too. I'd be happy to know your opinion; Do you suggest massage therapy or chiropractic treatment or anything else?

I believe the QL massively affects my abdominal pain/cramps (non-inflammatory) issues at times. Is that possible and are there any other people with that observation?

tom any advice for treating t/elbow 12 month since i had an operation on my left ,and now the right sides flairing up ,reluctant for shots or surgery, ive dropped bag work ,but continued forearm exercise. any advice would be appreciated. thanks

My lower back won't bent forward, it doesn't hurt, it's just too straight whenever I bend and it makes some yoga positions hard for me to do, it doesn't have that little curve, only my upper back can bend. I'll try your stretches, really hope it helps!

I live with a significant knee injury and subsequent reconstruction where the quadricep mechanism was shortened to reattach it, so I'm unable to tuck that leg in as you have. Is there another stretch for the QL which doesn't involve this leg position (TIA👍🏻)

I'm a beginner. For almost all the stretches routines, my left side of the body stretches much more than the right side. Should I stretch the right side more that left. Can there be any problem because of uneven streching?

I have had my QL pain on my right side for 3 years now. On good days it stays at the right lower back, on bad stays it spread up to the right waist line. When u say i should check my hip machanics what do you mean by that, i do regular weight lifting 4 times a week. Thanks

Years of living in ATP and this tight muscle has been the reason for tossing and turning at night and not being able to sleep on my back making getting out of ATP even harder.

I feel this QL muscle sore/tight quite often, usually after my workout which includes legs (step ups, pistol squat progressions, normal squats - all BW). Is it normal or do I something wrong? On rest days I am mostly sitting and recently I've started to do small mobility routine ("fullbody") around 20-30 minutes whenever I feel tight from yesterday's workout or sitting (tightness literaly forces me to do something :D). I hope my lower back/hip mobility and overall mobility gets better and then I won't feel the lower back pain so much (maybe because my squating ROM and technique will get better due to this). What do you think guys?

Hey, Tom. I have a very stiff left hip. Its so stiff that when I walk, it looks like I'm walking with a limp. When I attempt to stretch my hip, it feels like its locked. Trying to do a butterfly stretch is near impossible. What are ur suggestions?

My right ql is extremely sensitive and painfull. Every excersise e.g pullups or situps is causing me massive issues in terms of being able to move. Struggling to even walk sometimes after attempting excersise. Should I try to strech it or strenghten it as per yoir other video? Please HELP..

basketball 1 I’ve been following Tom’s routines for some time now, you could count your breaths (usually about 5 deep breaths or any amount that you feel is good for you)

Liam Reeves pec minor can tighten up in response to aggressive stretching. Light PNF is the key, my rounded shoulders routine has a stretch you can use :)

These don’t work very well with tight legs. If you cannot sit with your feet together, legs basically flat on the floor out to the side, you’ll simply rock over and get no QL stretch. Hand on the knee doesn’t work as the knee isn’t braced on the floor, it simply stretches the leg down, leg stretch but not a QL one for a crippletard like me.
