I have 4 spools of Glamour Madeira in different colors from my grandmother’s sewing box. That stuff is a kick ass material for tying flies. It makes amazing bodies and thoraxes, trailing shucks, wings, I highly recommend it. My favorite is light blue.

You can also use flourofiber for the wing as well if you can’t get your hands on the organza. Great tie! Love the videos!

Very nice video. I like how you show a lot of information in such a short amount of time. You're one of my favorite fly tyers to watch on youtube. Thanks

great videos!!!! sorry I couldn't make it to the event in new Jersey. I was planning on going. I did however purchase a few flies off the website you suggested. the fly Shack. I can't wait to get them.

I think I'll have to go with a 20 on that bad boy! 26 is microscopic! Ah, maybe I'll try the 26...

Buy some 26s..and some 28s..for those who say it's too small give yourselves a chance. With a little practice you'll find they're not that tough.

Is this the smallest fly you have tied on your channel and it's a 26

I think it might be.

Is that a smaller bobbin specific for smaller flies? Is it worth buying one?
@tightlinevideo7 жыл бұрын
Both bobbins used in the video are Rite Shorty bobbins. They are light, have ceramic tubes for protecting delicate threads and a rather short arm/tube length to keep you close to your work. For small flies, say 18 and under, they are my absolute favorite.
