That curling cream is meant for naturally curly hair. It’s kinda in the name "on the rebound curl recall". If your hair is straight there’s nothing to recall. Also the small talk is heat activated so you have to blow dry it into your hair. And for the foam or mousse blow drying it into your hair and actually making the volume is pretty standard for any brand if you want volume the foam is just meant to hold the volume. Also the results you got from the hairspray is to be expected it’s a maximum hold hair spray. If you don’t what that type of finish then you need a flexible hold hairspray but some people do need that for their hair type or texture. So I don’t think any of these products are actually bad in general it just seems like they weren’t meant for you or user error.

A good easy technique for blow drying the volume into your hair with the small talk or foam type products is blow dry the back half of your hair completely forward. And the front half of your hair completely backwards. Then you can shake it out and curl it. Also make sure you’re still going in an up position. So with the back blow dry up and forward. Not to the side. And the front up and to the back of your head.

Hi Jessica, thanks a lot for your detailed reply! I believe it was a combination of different factors - professionals recommended some of them to me (incl. on the rebound curl recall, they saw my hair), as well as some of the products just did not fit me (my straight hair). Regarding the foam, my complaint is that it made my clean hair look dirty right after I washed my hair.

Haha! Exactly. I can't believe people don't understand why certain products don't work when it's not for their hair type. Lol

And please let me inform you that small talk is a volumizing cream not a cream for creating curls

I believe you did not get my words right. The first product I bought (on the rebound) specifically for the curls, other 5 products in general for hair (to check if anything can work for me). And I said 'it should add some body and volume to your hair'. So, no worries, I know that it is for volume and structure :)

And on the rebound is a cream designed for those who already have curly hair and wants more definition, not to create them if you have already smooth hair. I use it when my hair is wet and I let it dry without heating, and then after I have fabulous waves.. this brand is phenomenal for many people I’m sorry and it's weird that it wasn’t the same for you 🥰

Hi Francesca, thank you for your comment and experience! Good to know that the rebound is only for naturally curly hair, as my hairdresser (ambassador of TIGI did not note this), and on TIGI website it is also not stated clearly... Yes, unfortunately the products were not helpful for me, but I'm happy to hear about your positive experience :)

Not all products work the same on different heads. Some things that are great for some dry others out. I love the small talk it has really made a difference in the volume of my hair esp when used correctly..

I used the Maxxed Out hairspray for years and truly loved it. It gave hold, with no build up. It kept its shine and could blow freely, in the wind, looking natural and falling back into place. It has been discontinued and, to date, I cannot find a hair spray, within the TiGi range, that comes anywhere close. So it’s “goodbye” to TiGi for me. I enjoyed your presentation. Thank you

Please note that another 5 products I bought were just to try IF I LIKE anything from TIGI, NOT specifically FOR CURLS! I will be extremely happy if you hit the LIKE button, thank you :)

Hi Brian, thanks a lot for sharing your experience! I agree with you regarding the price. In my case 4 out of 6 products did not give any result, and some like volume foam made my hair look dirty. But I can imagine that it might depend on every person and hair type. Have you tried one of the products I have?

@@tse_reviews and it is all hair chemistry, really. Some products do wonders for one person and not much for another. I use Small Talk, and have for years. I find it very effective...others too, but they weren't on your list :) Manipulator is an excellent paste with shine; Pure Texture works v nicely on day old or second day or third day hair; and the wax stick is great when I go short. I have found Aveda to be useless, Kerastase equally useless...American Crew is glue like (all of them), as are KMS products--yuck. But maybe you had better experiences w/ the ones I listed...

Because I saw so much positive feedback about TIGI and wanted to have the 'same' experience as these people! At least the choice of products I did was not right, it did not worked for me or I was not so much amazed as other people (they were average, nothing spectacular) :(

You need to have some natural curl in your hair to use a curl cream. It won't work on straight hair. I use Tigi products and have had excellent results.

I use only Tigi on my hair for the last 20 years, from shampoo to hairspray, I don't let anything else touch it since I was in highschool, and I swear by it, it's sad you had such a bad experience :( I do have super straight, sleek hair tho, so I can't really vouch for the products you have, but I also have a friend with naturally curly hair, and she is also very happy with everything, so I can't figure out why it didn't work out for you. Hope you find a brand that suits you better ❤️

Hi, thanks a lot for sharing your experience :) Wow, 20 years!!! I had quite high expectations for TIGI products as So many people told me about that. My initial aim was fixing the curls, but my second purchase (5 products) was to find something (in general) that would fit and amaze me.
