I'm still uploading my archived videos with a couple more to go, but I do plan on doing some new explorations in the near future. I also explored (and now uploaded) the abandoned motel next door, so be sure to look for that one as well. And most of all, thanks for being here! 💚

That building was probably commercial on the ground floor, residential upstairs. Until the advent of zoning ordinances, it was relatively common for people to live and work on the same property, often in the same building!

When I started watching, I was wondering what it was then I read the description and it came to life.. I got an active imagination still... even as I am nearing 40.. I am still only 35 but I am still young at heart.. I imagined chest freezers full of ice cream and beer in one area, fresh produce and a selection of soda and plenty of hanging plants for sale... another fun video. I lived in Arcadia Florida for a long time, that's in the center of Florida... Below Tampa Bay and to the east of Sarasota.. it was a small town... Moved there in 1994... HATED it there... It was to hot for me, school wasn't that fun because I got bullied a lot... but anyway.. had some big things happen... First direct hit from a Category 4 Hurricane that I ever had in 2004, and first time I felt how strong the winds could be.. the other thing I didn't like about Florida had to be the dead animals... I saw them constantly.. cause I lived near a busy road.. Before I moved back to Vermont, I saw 2 Key Deer and a few raccoons...some armadillo... dogs... cats... wild pigs... but the things I found that were valuable.. or just useful... I got an old mop bucket.. the industrial one... my mom used it for plants... I found a bike in the brush... cleaned it up a little and sold it for $5, it was in rough condition... the biggest was we lived near an active freight line.. so the train came through Once a week.. once down and once up back to the north.

Nicely made video. Thanks for making it about the place visited, and not a long selfie! Thank you also for the to the point narration, and not needlessly prattling on with worthless comments. In this respect, you are way ahead of most of the abandoned and urban explorers. Keep it up.

Great to have a new video from you, Pam! I'd like to have some of that Florida warmth right now here in Indiana!---Unusual layout to the upstairs with only a bathroom at the end of a hall but what with the building's history maybe we're seeing a floor plan different from what was originally there. Those wooden walls and ceilings seem to be more prevalent in the southern U.S. states. You don't see that where I live.---I enjoyed that glimpse in the distance of the abandoned motel. I look forward to seeing the exploration of that too!

Nearly all the stores on main street in the small midwest town I grew up in were like this. The store was on street level with an apartment above where the store owner would live or rent it out if they had a different home. Over 50% of them are sitting empty now. There was even gas stations built that way.
