@@jonathangibson3609 Fridge magnet -strength magnets on the side of your tower is completely fine honestly. It would take an absolutely immense magnetic field to have any effect on your computer (like, putting the tower inside an MRI machine), and if you have all SSDs instead of spinning disks, I'm not sure even that would do permanent damage.
@vurpo7080
@vurpo7080 9 ай бұрын
Even though it's electronics and electric currents are affected by magnetic fields, still keep in mind that a regular fridge magnet (or similar strength) has no noticeable effect more than like an inch away from it, and also when you stick it to the sheet of metal on the side of the computer, that sheet of metal will also block the magnetic field. (Also consider that MagSafe and other similar things uses strong magnets that are literally embedded into an iphone, ipad, macbook, with no problem)

i spent a lot of my teenhood putting all my stickers on my bedroom door. since i put years into it, i didn't want to leave it behind, so i took it with me to my first apartment while starting college. yes, i took it off the hinges and swapped my current door for that one. when i move, i know i might not find a place where the door would fit, so my backup plan will be leaning it up against an empty space in the living room or other open space so i and my friends can continue to sticker it up :)

I told them that the emotion child is always trying to get my attention when everything they say makes no sense and my therapist was like, do you always try to quiet the “emotions” child in the back because I think that might explain a lot of your problems. I was like oh but how do you get things done if you listen to emotions telling you to be scared or worried? My therapist’s answer- you do things scared. 🤯

I actually put my stickers in a special sticker collection book that keeps the stickers sticky! The paper used in the book is sticker release paper, basically the backing on stickers, but as a notebook page! So you're able to put them in the book and take them out as many times as you like! There's a lot of small businesses that sell their own collection books with their own designs on the covers. So they're super customizable and easy to use!!!! I hope this helps people who didn't know this who have sticker anxiety about placing them! :3 💜 -a sticker fan who gets their special interest brain activated when you mention stickers lmao

that stew james story reminds me so much of the "barney is based on a serial killer" type of macro images that used to go around in the mid 2000s/early 2010s. that, and all those "candace/angelica/what ever character is based on a real life mentally ill/dead child" creepypastas. its weirdly nostalgic lol

What gets me is the 'story' starts in the 1950s, yet talks as if it's all recent history, and establishes itself as 'the secret true story of Family Guy' in which Stewie has been murderous for 25 IRL years now... And Stew James has been in the foster home all this time 'plotting'? And surely his parents have had that quarter of a decade to, like, shut that down? I'm beginning to think AI can't write coherent stories.

okay one quick comment about the traveling circle bit--a lot of "freak show" actors still had *something* as a performance. or at least something more than people looking at them and going "ah!" a lot of them who were able (like bearded & tattooed ladies or conjoined twins) would sing, dance, play an instrument, etc. armless people would light tabbaco pipes or cross stitch with their feet. sometimes "the act" would just be giving an autograph or having a conversation about their lifestory. but there was always *something;* it had to be a show sorry for commenting so much ajsjak. and its not the end of the world that you guys didn't know they were performers; tv and movies do tend to portray circuses and freak shows as people paying a nickle to gawk at Some Guy sitting in a cage. and a lot of Freaks were treated awfully by their families, management, and the public, but they were still talented performers, y'know?

In the vid, you guys constantly question “how is this person telling us this if they died” But it’s not supposed to be them literally telling you in an old video It’s styled after a thing they do in some museums or pop docs and “fun” historical places, Usually it’s a video of an actor dressed up like a photo of the actual person and they’ll pretend to pose for the photo, sometimes it’s just a static photo of the person and an audio track you can listen to where an actor pretends to be the person telling you part of their life story

As someone who still masks because I’m vulnerable, yeah 100% before the pandemic if people were sick around me I didn’t really think about it, & didn’t always get sick from them (I’m sure that’s the case for a lot of people). I think Covid being SO extremely contagious (and way more dangerous) is what shifted our perception. Maybe not everyone’s though, because I see people unmasked open-mouthed hacking up a lung pretty often tbh 😵‍💫 hence why I mask. Covid also fucks with the immune system, making people become sick with other things more often after they’ve had it. So people might be increasingly wary about having gotten sick more easily the past few years, even if they don’t understand why. For example, the 2022 spike in RSV in young children has been directly linked to having previous Covid infections. RSV is still seemingly worse than before the pandemic, but official data reporting is at 2022 right now (I work with this data).

There's something so nice about, after an exhausting day, sitting down to an upload of my favorite podcast juuust as I finished everything else I needed to do. Time to sit back and watch these two perfectly replicate the dynamic of my dad and his best friend of 40 years despite these two not having nearly that many years together. (Hopefully, someday, they might.)

omg the not being able to wrap your head around adderall being a performance enhancing/party drug for college students is so real. i have adhd and i hated how it affected me (had to switch to concerta) and in one of my intro college courses we had to read a bunch of articles about students taking unprescribed adderall to do well in classes and how it gives them an advantage over kids who don’t get their hands on it and the ethics of making it available to everyone so it would level the playing field so to speak? and it felt so… weird and surreal as a student with adhd who had been prescribed it to help me meet expectations in school but who didn’t see a benefit from it and who eventually flunked the class even though i was capable of quality work because it wasn’t being treated properly and the system for getting approved for accommodations was so difficult to navigate. like something felt so weird like i didn’t even have a place in the conversation. but yeah anyway, cannot imagine taking it recreationally

My doctor refers to them as build up medication because they take a few weeks to build up in your system before you start seeing effects... It takes a couple for any affect and roughly 6 weeks to start to feel it at actual full level but can take months to start showing the "permanent" affects. It is insane to me that what takes 6 weeks to start showing effects takes just 48 hours to start showing effects of not having it

Couple minor corrections: 1. Shadow didn’t use any weapons in Sonic Adventure 2. Tails and Eggman piloted mechs with cannons, though. 2. Shadow's game was not Xbox-exclusive. It was multiplatform, released on GameCube and PS2 as well.

its always really nice when you talk about ADHD meds because I only got diagnosed like a year ago and got the go ahead to get on medication. I got put on Adderall and when it gave me weird side effects I felt like I didn't have ADHD and there were a whole lot of weird emotions attached because of it being the first one to try and the jitteriness it gave me. Hearing that it also wasn't a fit for other people makes me genuinely want to try to find other medication that can work for me, thank you!
@ErikaCartet

adderall was also the first medication i was put on for my adhd and i hated the way it made me feel. i ended up trying concerta sometime after and i remember it being a better fit for me, though i stopped medicating for my adhd after i was out of school and felt i could manage other life stuff ok without it

You know what’s hilarious, when Jarvis was getting Jordan to guess Shadows voice actor I no joke said aloud “John Wick… no wait John Wick is a character that doesn’t make sense. I guess it’d technically be Keanu then.” Then after maybe another minute of guessing Jarvis tells us that it is indeed “John Wick”. HOW DID I GET THAT?

i relate so much with not knowing how to react when opening a gift in front of the person giving it. not that long ago i spoke frankly to my closest friends about love languages, about how we hope to give love can be different from how we hope to receive it. like i'd go "oh, X will love this!" when i'm shopping or browsing through online stores, but then i get pretty stressed with the thought of them doing the same to me, lol. of course, i appreciate their presents, and i guess it's a different case if the gift is self-made. if it's something they bought, i can't help but to think "nooo you don't have to, i can buy it myself" (idk if this makes sense) also i remember when my schoolmates would do birthday surprises and i was like "oh no please don't do it on my birthday", but then they do it and i very awkwardly was like "ohmygoshhh--ithinkitoldyouguysalreadythatididntwantthisbut--thank you!!!" LMAO

NOT THEM SAYING "Chaos" THE PLURAL OF CHAO IS CHAO okokokok as a sonic fan this is really messing with me i really need to talk about this SA2 did not feature any realistic guns Shadow's game did along with other cartoonish guns Sonic 06 did not have sonic getting into a relationship with a human, however a weird romantic subtext culminated in the human kissing sonic at the end of the game when he turns super (story is weird, dont ask) shadow has never been in a relationship with a human either.

@@derelbenkoenig There was a weird lesbian/yuri subtext to Rouge's relationship with Topaz in X, but that never went anywhere, either due to intention or wanting to push knuckles x rouge, it never went anywhere. I didn't bring it up as it was never mentioned in the video.
