The goal of the Grain Bin Safety campaign is to reduce the occurrence of grain bin accidents by raising awareness of the hazards and by raising funds to equip first responders with the tools and training needed to respond quickly when necessary in the event of a grain bin accident. The funds raised will be used to purchase Grain Bin Rescue kits and training for our first responders.
Donate Today:
www.gofundme.c...
Nominate Your Local First Responders: Best point of contact at your department? What equipment does your department/responders need? Is there a specific brand of equipment your community uses as a combined effort with other local departments? Any other information you think we might find useful? Please send request to givingback@mnmillennialfarmer.com
Zach and Becky Johnson will assemble a panel of volunteers to review request a distribute donations accordingly.
Funds raised will be distributed to rural first responders to purchase grain bin rescue systems and training.

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

A warm engine doesn't make for a non-gelled fuel system. My system gelled up on me when the temperature was -50 degrees F in northern Pennsylvania. If it hadn't been for my dog I would have froze to death that night because there wasn't a light to be seen. The last fuel stop that I made before the gelling I had looked for and asked for some fuel treatment. The truck stop person said that they put kerosene in their fuel and that I didn't need it. That cost me $500 dollars and a lot more since the load was a time sensitive automotive manufacturing delivery (Just-In-time load).

Don't some engines run the fuel line close so they stay warm?
@patmancrowley8509

@@dfarmer_ One thing that the folks at the truck stop failed to tell me, I found out later, was that their own fuel trucks have heater hoses in them running from from the engine coolant. Which in turn kept their fuel from jelling. Ooops.

just a question for you or anyone else, can you take the thunder trailer to one of your local truck stops and get def there. Also how does that price compare to say buying a 55 or 235 gallon tote. and does the thunder trailer even have a conventional way of filling the def tank or do have to use the special connectors to fill.

When you want to put on the loader bucket do this. Raise the loader up. Face the linkage down towards the ground (extend the tilt fully out). You'll be able to see where it attaches from the cab then. After you've the linkage lined up with the bucket retract the tilt and it'll click the pin into the bucket. Hope that makes sense

Really like the drone footage! Just a thought,, the drone footage has some great picture/poster shots,, I am curious how these shots would look printed maybe 14x19? Several really nice views if they can be printed to that size and remain somewhat sharp. “a picture is worth a thousand words..” ,,, the artful side of the contrasting colors and design versus farming isn’t easy... sell in your store? Being a serious amateur photographer,, I think several of those shots matted & framed would be very eye catching on my wall. Stay safe...

That Power Service product to prevent diesel fuel gelling is a waste of time & money. Even mixed double for below -0 temps won't work. I tried it a few years back. Hauling cattle with my 2011 Ford diesel pickup. 1st, at lower rate for above 0, the warning came up on the dash, fuel pressure reduced. Then when mixed for -0 hauling cattle, power reduced came up. 50 mph was all i could get. Trucker behind me had the 911 product, we poured it in my pickup, that cleared it up. Watch, Farm Project, or is it, Project Farm, guys videos, where he test all kinds of products, he tested these anti gelling products. I told him to test 50 / 50 diesel fuel mix of No, 1 & no. 2 diesel, for anti gelling. He said great idea. The best way to prevent gelling. That what i used here in SEMN. I hear, further north, a stronger mix is required of No, 1.

It’s noticeable that the Red Machine doesn’t make a mess at the end turns like the Green Machine does. Can’t see you getting a Red Machine anytime soon as the dealer backup and proximity for the Green Machines is worth too much.😁😁.

of course a four rack won't berm like a two track. Not really a fair comparison. Of course it doesn't matter anyways since headlands are done last and will clean that up anyways.

Ask your dealer for a quicke front loader with hydraulic locking and you will never want a John Deere front loader again. It's very nice not having to go out the cab every time you change bucket

You should get a Bobcat style quicktach for the tractor. Would be far less complicated.
