Great tune from the best frontman since Lydon, only scratching the surface with this record, he is up there with Gram, Dylan, Jagger, Stevie, Young, all the great songwriters of our generation...

Tim Burgess is naturally cool.. He doesn't have to try he just is. Girls and guys adore him he had die hard fans and he keeps on churning out amazing music. If you don't like him why even bother putting comments? I can't stick take that but i wouldn't search out a video to bad mouth them as that would mean i have no life!!

I agree with andrewleeds..The Charlatans never wanted to be a stadium band, although they could easily be if they wanted to. Everybody in England around the 90's was listening/playing that music and everybody looked the same so nobody's ripping off anyone. Even now, the Charlatans have proved to be a much more stable and creative band than the Roses and Oasis or whoever. Tim's songwriting style is just progressing into a more mellow vibe that's all.

Well, I have to say I've been listening to Charlatans' music this latest weeks and all their records are amazing. Really, and Tim seems to be such a nice and down to earth bloke, so I don't understand the comments about not letting children get close to him or even his sexuality. C'mon! Does it matter? Have you realised we're already in the 21st century? Now about this tune, it's great! I'm going straight to listen to the full record. Hope they (or him) ever came to Chile. It'd be brilliant to assist to one of their concerts.

Quote from fvolothevolo "Tim Burgess goes the extra mile prancing about on stage for an audience of tired 30-somethings who just want a night off from looking after the kids, and would willingly listen to him read the share prices from the Wall Street Journal if it meant not having to wipe up sick for a bit" - Had to quote 'fvolo..' in full, funny as feck (what happend to the reply button?) Never knew a Tim Burgess video could stir up so much emotion from the people below.

I understand ya brother,.....but! Tim ...has got a fuckin wide taste in music, from ska, punk , motown,...alot of middle charlatans albums emulated ,...the stones , dylan, etc,....that's where he was at! and i dont think tim would disagree with ya on the stones track....but this is, has been influenced by the guy out of Lambchop,.....and i hear abit Dexys midnight runners...in this. all i can is Between 10th & 11th.....stilll fuckin rocks.......my favourite charlatans album of all time..x
@andrewleeds12 жыл бұрын
What? Both great bands but Charlatans don't sound anything like the Roses and I'm not sure the Charlatans have ever been (or wanted to be) an arena/stadium/park band.

Jagger? ha ha. Gimme Shelter is better than anything Burgess has written. I don"t want to be critical of Tim, i love this song. But his songwritting does equate to the Rolling Stones or Bob Dylan or Neil Young. Behave yourself
