Always loved Carol Burnett's show! Was always funny and had some crazy characters, one funnier than the other. Most favorites were, all the cast acting out famous movie spoofs. I was a small kid watching with my parents and brothers. Saturday nights were Carol nights. She's still around and still a great and dear lady. God bless all the souls of this show. So many great times.😍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌹🌹🌹

Me, my mom, my dad, and my three brothers would watch this while we was growing up. My daddy used to laugh so hard at Tim Conway and Harvey corman and of course carol Burnett. I remember he would laugh so hard that it would make all of us laugh even harder because we was already laughing at the show but it was just so funny to hear my dad laughed so hard and tears coming out of his eyes. If only we could go back home and relive those days. That would be Heaven on Earth.

Scrolling through the relatable comments, I suddenly am catapultated back to sitting with my mom and dad on the couch, Saturday nights and laughing hysterically; especially the spoofs on the commercials they did. Remember? I am also reminded that I'm not as young as I used to be...be that as it may, but how else could I have such fond memories? I've had the tendency of looking back at what was not so great.Thanks for reminding me that it wasn't all that bad, after all.

Yes, I have very fond memories of me, my brother, mom and dad watching on Saturday night at 9 p.m. I think my mom laughed harder than anybody. Before my mom died 11 years ago, we watched a 30 minute episode of Carol and Friends. She was very weak from cancer but was able to giggle at Carol during one of her skits. My dad died unexpectedly this year and I can say it has been the worst year I've ever been through. Watching Carol Burnett brings back the happiest and innocent memories of my youth.

Carol's autobiography explains the routine of the show. They would usually film the episode twice in a week. The first one would be "safe" and for TV. The second one was filmed for additional cuts and the like, and would also allow for some more improv and would allow for some of the more "racy" stuff to happen.

Uncensored? The couple sleep in two seperate beds.
@OfftoShambala
@OfftoShambala 3 жыл бұрын
@@keithjefferson9863 it was free speech ... the content of the message that people were seemingly allowed to convey ... the stuff that was censored was gratuitous and essentially petty ... but, i thought of that as well... although I think we just weren’t aware of the important stuff that was censored back then ... in addition to the two bed and sexual content and cuss words that weren’t allowed back in the day... but the whole two bed thing was really only for a short time ... at this point the idea of uncensored is dramatically convoluted

I almost agree, except crime was under-reported then. I was raped when I was 5, and never told anyone because that wasn't done back then. I don't like they make bs up now and make things worse, I just don't want another child to suffer actual evil being done to them. Just because it wasn't reported doesn't mean it didn't happen.

@@shadodragonette sorry you had that happen, but what does that have to do with the Carol Burnett Show? Nobody wants to see anyone raped. No time has been perfect but compared to today back then was alot better.

🙄 pretty short dresses, not that you’d notice unless you were a leg man looking to get up there. If you have issues with mammary glands you might not have been breastfed either which would account for small brains who feel the need to be mean
