He's obviously wearing the hat to practice Stoicism. Intentional way to get ridiculed and that way become more resistant to mocking. It's a practice of not giving a shit.

@Tim Ferriss Honey is metabolized differently and promotes the formation of mostly liver glycogen rather than muscle glycogen. Which decreases cortisol, and keeps your eyes producing vitreous fluid... Pretty useful. Not having enough liver glycogen releases the stress hormone to keep you up searching for food, it's a survival mechanism.

Awesome video, I got some good ideas to implement in my evening routine, like apnea breathing (1/4/2 as you said), vinegar 2tbsp + water before sleep and also when I wake up, and I am thinking to try to massage my legs somehow for a couple of seconds before going to sleep. Also I am curious if you take any magnesium + zinc before bed ?

Suggestion to Tim Ferriss. Brian Blessed (British actor and traveller/adventurist) as a guest on your podcast. He is the best story teller ever. Here are just a few of his life stories: He shook hands with Adolf Hitler. He spent a few days with Agatha Christie when she was helping him with some instructions on how to stage her play in a theatre. He had adult black panther, tigers and lioness living with him in a house in London in sixties. He climbed Mount Everest three times. He survived a plane crush. He lived with gorillas and orangutans. He personally knows Queen Elizabeth (and has some good stories about her). He is fit as hell and fun to listen. His stories don't stop. Thank you Tim, and good luck with everything you do. Armands

What is not mentioned regarding phosphatidyl serine is that it should NOT be used by people that are using blood thinner medications. Also, use caution if you're using gingko biloba (natural blood thinning supplement) and if you're pregnant, consult with your OB-GYN.

Hi Tim, thanks 🙏🏻 for your video. I’m a huge fan of you! 🙌🏻 I’ve a problem going to bed on time. Most of the times I’m not tired enough resulting in shifted patterns as I go to bed around 3-4Am... Do you have a solution for that?, I’m not a morning person btw.. And for the app I’ve a nicer variant you’d probably like called “Stoic”. You can meditate, breathe like you showed and it has even your “Fearsetting” as an exercise. O and for the breathing I find it hard to keep my breathe when I don’t breathe out, because even without breathing in I can hold my breath for a minute, so I think breathing out is more important... like it feels my chest is too full of air 🌬 It would be nice if you’d reply. 👋🏻

One of the problems with Tim is that he's always changing his tune. People's routines change, but not as drastically as his do. How many videos has he made now about his morning /evening routines? Why is his routine completely different each time, and why does it always rely on plugging brands and products? (notice how he only mentioned that ONE of these products wasn't affiliated with him in the video? Notice how he promotes rumble roller products in this video, and in one of his most popular blog posts on his website he promotes a fifty dollar rumble roller via his Amazon affiliate link?) This guy is all about stuff, and telling people to buy stuff to make them happier and more fulfilled. I find his lack of transparency quite unsettling.
@dangerL7e7 жыл бұрын
Very interesting POV. As I find his podcasts filled with ads on how HE is happy using this or that product himself.
@trogwillow38056 жыл бұрын
Just like he says at the start of the four hour body, there's no 'right way'. I imagine he's constantly changing his evening routine because he's finding better things to change to, is experimenting and or perhaps got bored of the last routine
@ShammyLadoo5 жыл бұрын
@@dangerL7e Dude all he does is plug products, its how he survives, its how he makes money. take everything he says "product related" with a hint of precaution
@BirdFlier4 жыл бұрын
@johnulcer Of course he need to earn too with his videos. But if I’m right I guess it’s a struggle for him as well finding the best way to sleep etc. He believes in products as an addition to healthy practices, that’s just one way. If you can do without it it’s also right. But you’re right that he is often changing his approach and that’s for me what makes him interesting 👌🏻😉✌🏻 I think that’s a character trait...

Asides all the hate from the hat, you're correct, it's the Parasympathetic. It is the post-cortisol release that you want and the parasympathetic that is in charge of releasing some GABA neurotransmitters on your neurons to calm you down. Like how I feel when I that hat...
