Thank you so much Tim. You manage to impart so much information with a humble and polite attitude that gives us all the confidence to play with the products we have purchased through the information you give us whilst having educated us to a lot of the pitfalls we might find along the way. I have so many of the tools I need and in just one lesson have become aware of how to use those tools avoiding so many pitfalls whilst engaging with my grandchildren, safely. Thank you so much for being the caring teacher that you are. Cheers,a big, big fan, Helene.

This was a fantastic and very informative video. I felt like I was in class. I watched and listened very closely. I've ordered several of your alcohol inks and tools to start practicing these techniques for my cardmaking craft. You are a wonderful teacher as well as a great demo person. I cannot wait to start. Thank you so much, Tim. This video will be my "go to" video to refer to along the way .🤎🩵

Brilliance!! I’m just starting out 😊 I’m a tumbler creator thinking I can make inked (graffix, yupo) papers to glue to the cops and then continue on with other techniques. I’d like to make some different things than what’s out there. ~~The black papers with Snowcap & vibrant colors really get the juices flowing ❤❤❤ reminds me of the stuff they show on tv’s where they try to show how vivid the colors are.. constantly changing colors that burst through & mesmerize. Thanks for sharing.. I’ve been on a binge for a few days 🌹🌹🌹

Hi Tim! I don't get a chance to watch a lot of youTube videos, but I'm so glad I watched this one! I loved all the product information, and of course the techniques! Then you brought out that old stamp! Swoon! I love my old Stampers Anonymous stamps too! I took a fabulous class a billion years ago from Michelle and I still use her techniques too! Thanks for the video 🙂

Hi there! . Thanks for all your awesome videos and tips. I bought 3 of the unstacable tins 2 years ago and we live in a coastal area and have noticed that the tins are showings signs of rust. I know rub baby oil on them. Just to let you know that is not through ruff handling. In fact I have not used my alcohol inks and have only started know because of my obsession to collect all of the colours.
@timholtz Жыл бұрын
Hello. Sorry, I've not heard of this issue with the tins. I would suggest contacting Ranger (the manufacturer) directly at info@rangerink.com

Mario’s additions to these….. if you don’t have anything nice then FIND something nice to say!! (He’s correct….100% of the time I can find something honest and kind in every situation with every type of person if I change my focus) Love Tim’s “you get what you get and you can’t throw a fit “ Would have been great when I was teaching JH Math. I’d have adapted it some….funny, I know the adults would need it more than my kiddos….they could laugh and let go much easier

Thanks for info. Could you use inks on top on medium gel, or Modge Podge?

Check out 19:07 in the video showing ways to ink on non-porous surfaces. I use Collage Medium which is similar to Gel Medium.

Can you use clear embossing to accomplish the same effect as distress resist?

Hello. I answered that during the demo, just click the timestamp in the description box for Resist Spray to check it out.

If we wanted to heat emboss on the Yupo, do we do that before or after inking? (My apologies if you covered this--I've watched twice, and my darn dogs keep interrupting! 😉)
@timholtz Жыл бұрын
I prefer stamping/embossing after inking.

I SWORE the Ranger line of alcohol inks were isopropyl Alcohol based and not ethanol. Did this change somewhere along the way? Would REALLY appreciate an answer here as I'm an Alcohol Ink art instructor and we use Ranger inks exclusively!

They have been the same formulation since 2004 when they were released.
