Several years ago, you taught a series of classes in Tampa. I didn't have a lot of money back then but I really wanted to take your classes. We scrapped enough money for me to take 2. I had so much fun and you and Mario were so kind. I actually won 2 prizes, scissors and texture tools! You were so encouraging and i still have the tools I won. I was new to distressing and you were a great teacher and still are. I am happy to have social media to continue to learn from you. Taking those in person classes with you meant the world to me. I must have watched this three time in the last week ever since I ordered all 3 sets :-) I turned around and had to get the vault set of paints too because I have been wanting them. In all my years crafting so far I love this distress color palette the absolute most and wish I hadn’t waited so long I really hope these pencils are as wonderful as they look here They are just beautiful and i time and so pigmented and that’s what i have been looking for

You can get over yourself, Tim Holtz but, I will sing your praises. Your products and tutorials are phenomenal. I would buy every single product if I could. All I asked for for Christmas is your products. I'm just starting out in dies, stencils and stamps in card making. I've started with the Distress Oxide pads (and tins). These crayon sets will be on my birthday wish list. Oh, I purchased all the mica sets that were just released again. I did not want to miss any of those!!

I love these, they're harder than my neocolor 2's and softer than regular watercolour pencils. I think they'll be great to take on summer holiday because they won't melt as quickly as the neocolours. The size feels really nice too. 1:28:17 I enjoy all colours and am happy these are now in my collection. Thanks for the thorough demo, it's fun to see someone else's process.

Haha. Funny that the birthday girl just commented today, as my story is similar to hers but I suppose mirrored in ways: My children just bought me these for Mother’s Day (actually I told them these are what I want so they gave me the gift card today & I got them ordered just a couple hours ago 😊). Now mine will be in this coming week and I too was watching again because it’s been a while since I last saw it. I was steadily saying to myself “yes” with a little fist pump as you were describing their properties and demoing what you know them to do. 😎 I can’t wait until they arrive now! You truly are an inspiration, and it is my goal to have as many Tim Holtz products as I possibly can in my arsenal. I’m just happy I thought to tell my children I want these things as gifts throughout the year as it is helping me to build up my stash quicker. I’m late to the table of making and creating, but better late than never. Your products play nice with each other and their prices are reasonable. Your tools are absolutely some of the best on the market! I most appreciate the weekend demos because I’ve learned so much about your products. Also, I just wanted to say Thank you for working past the haters that seem to come out when you release new products. I can promise you that you have many more fans out here than haters. Also, there isn’t a piece of art that a maker has ever produced that has wowed me more than when one has used your products. That’s just the truth. That’s also when I realized your products are for me. Fun fact: my very first supply haul was your distress markers in 2014. I was brand new to the community & was looking for scrapbooking supplies. So sad to say, I had no idea who any of the big names were when I bought those including yours. But I was really glad I did purchase them. I’m a messy crafter so I was delighted to realize I could embrace grunge instead of throwing a piece away and starting over. 🤭🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m so glad I was open minded because this is the best time to be alive and be creative too. The sky really is the limit these days! God bless you and thank you again! I’m sure I’ll be watching this at least once more in the future. 😊

Holy Santa! Love, love these and can’t believe I’ve survived without them this long. Over the years I’ve collected several different brands of watercolor pencils but these are in a class by themselves. The color is so richly intense but move in a wash beautifully. And blending is addictive with these. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Will more sets than the first three be released at some point? Please tell me these aren’t going to be retired anytime soon.

I used them on old text, the sprayed on some distress ink, added some mushroom caps , leaves and for needles from the yard, I love the way they blend and move!!

I have the full set of distress ink and I'm slowly buying the set of distress oxide. The pencils are a must for me. I don't have other ink. I love working with the distress inks. It has more flexibility in the techniques!

You do get what you pay for.. I’ve had my water brush years and it’s still going strong. I’ve just bought my first tin on pencils yesterday . The first tin was hard to choose , so many beautiful colours. 🤗🤗 testing them now while I watch your video , 😮😮now I’m saving my pennies now for more already, eeek .. 😊

Thanks for making this video. I've got all 3 sets. Shaded Lilac is one of my favorite colors. I observed that the watercolor pencil didn't exactly matched the oxide shade. The pencils are blue toned. It's still a beautiful color but it didnt look lilac to me.

The pencil itself is definitely more blue than how it colors out. I went a bit deeper so the pigment wouldn’t wash out when water colored.

I treated myself to the entire set of six. They came yesterday, and I oohed and ahhhed like an idiot, lol. Today I rearranged every pencil into its color family, which makes it easy to find the colors quickly and logically. So the tins look real different now. Next, do the swatches, and paint. It’s gonna be a good weekend. ❣️😬

Hi! I just got these & love them! I want to use them in my coloring books, but we all know the thin pages don't react well to water on the paper. Will I be able to successfully activate these with 99% alcohol instead of water? I tried, and am not sure if I really can or not (likely a user error LOL). But wanted to come ask you, the expert! Thank you so much for all of your innovation with these kinds of products!!

Hello. Distress Watercolor Pencils contain water reactive pigments that are formulated to work best with water.

Just realized it but I’ll bet I could have lifted some of the brown ink off to have more of a light area for my colored pencils. Next time...
