I know I know I'm late to the party! I got ALL the paints available, ALL the distressed crayons available, and ALL the watercolor Pencils available and im ready to play! Mario I've told my husband that Tim is my boyfriend. I've watching the demo's over and over again as I have NO IDEA what I'm doing. You know what I love about Tim? His passion and enthusiasm for the craft. I share that as I know many of you do. Is it just paint we are getting excited about? I mean it’s just paint! No my friends it is not just paint - it’s Distress Paint! This was so timely for me as I have had my eye on Distress paints for awhile. Thank you Tim for doing this demo and thank you Ranger for bringing these back from retirement. I am excited about this and yes Gathered Twigs should be brought back permanently from retirement. As a discerning crafter I know that this tone is the perfect marriage of Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. 😀😀😀

personal opinion and maybe not a popular one but I think none of the 72 colors should be retired. in any medium. if something isn't as popular maybe make a smaller batch each time. but they should always be made. and if they are going to cut a whole line maybe warn us when the last batch is made. like the mica crayons. if i'd known last year that that was the end, i'd have ordered another set or two cause I really love those crayons. but that's just me

I love these lives. I'm on the rewatch crew for this one, and I catch more negative comments when I'm on rewatch. It's disheartening. We have someone that is SO talented, and gives us hours of his time to teach us FOR FREE, and people whine and complain about the most minute and unimportant things. Just be grateful. Be thankful that someone is willing to share his talent. And, as Tim says (and I doubt this is exactly right) "If you don't have anything nice to say, find something nice to say"

I always learn something new each time I watch one of your videos, and when I can achieve similar results to those by you and your amazing makers, it inspires me to create even more. My daughter and I have even turned a tiny corner at the top of the stairs into our “art room” and spent all our free time this cold winter and very wet spring creating lovely things together, so thank you for that very precious gift as well! The distress paints are one of my favorite products, so I truly hope Ranger finds a way to keep/bring back these colors-even if only alternating years like the holiday mica sprays and crayons. I really wasn’t familiar with Distress Paints as I’m fairly late (in the scheme of things) to the world of Tim Holtz. Now I just want to live in that world all the time! I understand the limited time on the paints, luckily I still found some available but, oh there’s gonna be a but. I’ve been watching the new releases vs the retired paints and the only conclusion I have reached is the Ranger headquarters space needs to be bigger 😂 Literally I just saw a second release of these little hands to hold paper while embossing so your fingers don’t get hot. Now they come in a variety of colors. Ok. But the retired colors of paint, call me crazy, makes more sense than little hands in different colors. It only serves one purpose, no matter the color. You can’t say the same about Distress Paint. Distress Paint has many purposes. I feel a bit jilted being a tiny one of many who helped propel Ranger’s success by supporting your numerous product lines made by Ranger, including paints, and now a part of my creativity now gets shelved in the vault. Thank you for going to bat for us to have these paints made available, even if for a limited time. The first, and only release I’ll own, of my mini embossing hands are clapping for the limited edition Distress Paints.

I know this video is a month old already, but I just want to say I love the way you respond to comments. I'm at 2:28:53 and there was a comment about you using a lot of brown. Your response made me so so happy, I make albums for people and am pushed out of my comfort zone with colors so often, I always have to create something for myself later so I can just use the colors that make me happy, walnut stain and gathered twigs😅. I truly love your videos, Tim! You are teaching me so much. I actually keep a notebook of ideas, etc. For instance: Tim Holtz...section: youtube...then I note what I learned, say "paints, metallic".
