Here are my 2 cents as a Veteran. It’s pretty clear he got caught in a few lies. He should’ve just said that he embellished and moved on. His story is more than good enough without the lies. If it’s not in his DD Form 214 it didn’t happen. There is no way he forgot being a Distinguished Graduate. He also didn’t dress down his Captain. There were no Iranians. These things were easy to prove/disprove and the best he could come up with was “trust me bro.”

Incorrect information. Medical facilities do not initiate PH claims. It is done at the company level all the way up to Combatant Commanders. It is a fiduciary responsibility that cannot be brushed off. Commanders can lose their position if they fail to process PH orders.

everything in the beginning of gwot involving seals turned out to be a lie, Latrell even admitted the navy pretty much wrote the book to help their image and recruitment, some sf teams were involved in tons of combat that harkens back to stories out of Vietnam, and some sf teams were attached to big army units and do a whole lot of cool guy stuff, the problem with Tim is that he’s grifting and won’t just come out and say that he embellished his book to make more money, he could have done the Jack Carr route and wrote some novels and made tons of money, instead he over inflated his ego to appear cool to the civilian side who eat up these war stories and put people like him on a pedestal.

Kerry was in Vietnam for 4 months from 1968-1969 and received a Silver Star, Bronze Star and 3 Purple Hearts. None of his wounds necessitated him taking any time off. The military had very lenient requirements for a Purple Heart. And Kerry did not throw away his own medals but used someone else’s.

Purple Heart is automatic, the medics look you over and fill out your medical chit and it gets filed through the medical team to the chain of command to big army hq, like he can literally get his medical paperwork and it will state the wounds, place of wounds, time and if evacuated or not

Even if that wasnt the case, you are going to see a big army doctor between deployments, get check ups, physicals and what not to be cleared. You think they aren't going to see a bunch of scars? Especially if he is saying it had a lasting impact on his health, why is he hiding it from them?

Our battalion surgeon caught a tiny metal fragment in his arm when some mortars hit near the shower he was using and he got awarded a Purple Heart. That was in 2006 OIF. So it sounds odd to me that Kennedy would have all these large scars but no award.

Stolen Valor is also considered by stealing another's true story that is not yours but you took that from the person who was there and you were not.
