The arrogance and sheet mismanagement through Daimler, Fiat, and then Stellantis plus an equally insulting dealer base has kept me away from the brand for years. I wish they'd make a brand new DOHC 5.2 liter V8 HEMI (brining back the 318 V8). They could put this into the RAM, Charger, Durango, and Wagoneer. They can still have the I6 and EV/Hybrid versions as well. I don't see where any CDJR vehicle will have a 800-900HP Hellcat or anything like that anymore. That ship has sailed, even if EPA regulations get pushed back a little but perhaps a new 5.2 V8 would suffice for those who want a V8.

Trivia time! "Ran out of town on a rail..." is a commonly used phrase originally *NOT* from the railroad, it came from a practice applied more in the old west when someone (usually trusted) sid something bad enough to be banished but not killed. They would tie someone to a "rail" as in *a split portion of a log* used for fences, them drug out of town by someone on a horse. Once far enough to "make their point," they often would be just left, still tied, to fend for themselves. Fun times!! 😀

He was behind the wheel for the biggest markups in the industry. During his tenure Dodge introduced one new car, the Dart. Dodge consistently lost market share until they were around 1% when he was shown the door. Dealers got stuck with thousands of overpriced "Last Call" cars that still haunt their lots and had no replacement for the Charger/Challenger. If he can do for Ram what he did for Dodge, he'll run that company into the ground too.
@ocmotivatorАй бұрын
These kinds of comments show how little people understand or choose to understand about business sometimes. So if you work somewhere where you're not the top leadership, you are still responsible for what the company did? Or were you doing a job like Tim was until it got too much for him to stand and he gave up a 7 figure paycheck to jump off that train? Tim has never owned or ran any of those franchised dealerships as he was with the manufacturer. He tried to control mark ups and the dealers just lied and cheated to get around them. If anything, yes, he was there during the most insane price run ups that company has ever had from the manufacturer, but how many of us would walk away from that multi million dollar a year job over that? Let's be real, he did what he can with what he had and then walked when they took it way too far off course. I'm ready to give him a chance now that carlos tavares is gone.
