One of the incredible things that has sort of been happening the past couple of years is that while Fox and Newsmax and MAGA leadership have been pursuing deranged babbling about the "wokeness" boogie man, in the real world, using self awareness and an actual interest in good faith, people have been having the real conversations reactionaries pretend to want to have. Actual conversations among the left and the culture about some of the reality of the more rare but sort of puritanical side of fights on things like masculinity, trans teens, "cancelation", etc. and I've seen so many interactions in the real world be so much more NORMAL, relaxed, less worried about offending the hyper sensitive far left/MAGA people, and without liberals backsliding on their values or losing freedoms. I feel like places like the Bulwark facilitate a lot of this reality and honest conversation that so many people are desperate to have (and I pray they come out and vote).

@@Bertinator-nm9ldYeah I think you're probably right that most did not watch. Many may have assumed it was a witch hunt and didn't see it as worth their time to tune in. Also people just like, have sh*t to do and everybody can't take several hours of their day to watch each time. I personally listened during work while doing stuff that didn't require my full attention. It was such a well-done and compelling sequence of presentations on the investigation so I'd encourage you or anybody else to view all of it if/when time does eventually allow. Something interesting that I learned after-the-fact was that they actually hired some director (or some other role associated with the movie business in Hollywood) to help them plan their presentations in order to better organize the narrative so that people watching would be able to follow along and understand the information they were presenting. As in, "include testimonials from folks in the Trump administration together on day x along with information from x part of the investigation, and Jan 6th video footage from this source" etc. The Hollywood person didn't get to twist info or fabricate or anything like that, they just provided input that helped the public to understand context, like why this information is significant and how it is relevant/contributes to the broader context and that kind of thing, if that makes sense!

I can’t think of many sectors or groups of society who could repeatedly choose a terrible decision and then not get called out on past mistakes just because they happened to choose the correct one after multiple mishaps. Yet this is a grace I see afforded to conservatives begrudgingly leaving the party lol. Especially when you consider that a lot of conservatives who choose to vote more blue usually only do so after they themselves get personally burned in some way by republicans (and not because of how the party treats others not in their preferred financial bracket). Honestly after this election many of them will jump back to republicans if they manage to lead with someone who’s genteel and doesn’t say all the quiet parts out loud. I don’t see how coddling them to help them ignore how their prior actions led to someone like trump (Reagan was the blueprint) allows them to begin the accountability needed to prevent those mistakes again

@@LP-ct9nk do you want to win or be right? I want to win…
@stormelemental134 ай бұрын
@@LP-ct9nk So? You're tired and morally righteous and want to tell those vile sinners how they should have repented years ago, and just because they've seen the truth now, doesn't absolve them of their guilt. They need to truly understand, to humble themselves. To beg for forgiveness. Preacher man, that method hasn't worked for a long, long time. So do if it want to, can't stop you, but it's not going to do a thing to help Biden win, and that's what matters, not your self-righteousness.

What made me honestly despise trump is how he sits there and uses people to do his bidding so he has plausible deniability and he takes no responsibility for his actions all while destroying the lives of the ones he uses. He has been shown as a weak and ineffective leader on almost every level who cares only about money and himself.
@rb-pk8ds3 ай бұрын
Yes!!! Stop just repeating "he's old", "people worry that he's old" and remind them he's a leader with a huge young knowledgeable staff giving him advice and getting stuff done!

On one hand I appreciate the calm manner these three individuals are speaking about the impending doom looming on November for our country and all its citizens. However, they don't seem to be displaying anytime of panic that many women and people of color I know are experiencing. I don't know if its because they are entrenched in politics and are "broken in" with our two party system and no matter what if you are White and especially a White male in America you are basically fully protected. They may lose media platforms, make less money, have their healthcare slashed, but they aren't going to be gunned down or arrested based upon their skin color or saying "what did I do wrong officer?" and end up in jail because of the support of police gangs and their cart blanche authority over people of color. I'm pissed, angry, scared and full of anxiety and that's every day because of what will happen to our country if DT wins. Are they scared or is it more a philosophical quandary for them? I'm not saying they should stop raising awareness, but to be clear, if shit goes down these three individuals will be sad but they will be safe simply because they are White. Side note.......based upon all the data we have for the last 30 years on DT and media footage accessible, why not reach out to rich people who may care about other citizens and buy some billboards across America and state in simple terms if you elect DT you lose your civil rights as an American, or something to that effect. Keep it simple and direct to the point. Show him holding hands with Putin and Kim Jong Un while launching missiles and dead citizens at their feet. That may be savage but look we are at a point where people are so overly stimulated by the same information regurgitated specifically about DT that our tiny human brains are just turning off the mass negativity. Or another billboard with DT showing the facts that he was convicted/liable for "sexual abuse" aka rape and is fined for the sexual violence. By the way why isn't DT on the sex offender registry? A billboard showing his evangelical supporters praying to Trump and a bible quote about beware of false idols, with that information across a static board across America would be a substantial move. It would bee seen by people who drive highways and freeways, people would take pictures and talk about it and it would be interesting to see if some of those rural, red hardline areas would reconsider Trump being a good choice. I'm not really a Biden fan, but I'd choose him over Trump anyway because this really isn't about Biden its about our freedoms as citizens and with 6 Supreme Court Justices in DT's pocket that's enough to freak out in general. Biden isn't as strategic of a politician as I would hope for, but his cabinet is, so I'm praying but I'm still scared.
@jayneseanard31104 ай бұрын
Don't take it for granted that everybody's getting this information. I'm in Northeast Pennsylvania and I am surrounded by Trump supporters, an entire church across the street supports him and are proud of it. All his propaganda is working on a lot of people around here, it is mind boggling. They are normal people thay believe him, they dont know anything about what is really going om.
@leec51704 ай бұрын
You have probably just described 50%-80% of Trump supporters. They are in a bubble and only hear from other Trump supporters and churches and right-wing media. In other words, they are lacking knowledge of the facts and are not horrible people.

The propaganda is real….folks are very open to absorbing Trumps crap, they are desperate for a “cult like” leader, as they are weak. 😥 So sad.

Agreed. It's strange but I've been reminded that Gay white man are still white man. They tend to lean more Republican. Also, the democratic party were not always as pro LGBT as they are now.

Not everyone votes along racial lines or gender identities. Those groups aren't a monolith. Some people have other priorities that are more important to them, when it comes to voting. Expecting one group of people to all vote for you because of a social/societal group they belong to IS Identity politics.

@Bertinator-nm9ld I'm not a politician, I'm a queer guy 😂 There are different priorities, and then there is literally voting against the interests of yourself and your team.

Hahahaha 49:00 is killer. What a time to be alive, where 5% chance of a dictatorship is "meh" to some. To be fair, the whole point of asking is to make it patently absurd to whoever is answering with it, but the fact that it's still a dynamic is bizarro world.

Why can’t you ask what they care about and show them what Trump says about it? Border security? Show them him saying kill the bill? Women’s right to choose? Show them Trump claiming women must be punished. It’s sales 101. What does the customer care about and can you meet that concern in a way that they will buy.

Advice to daughters of Republican women; get one of those Halloween handmaid outfits and wear it on voting day to remind them what they are voting for, or against. Also chant "Unified Reich, under his eye", as often as possible. We have to make it personal.
