I grew up in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and watched so much Detroit tv growing up. This is such a blast from the past. I remember Mel Far Superstar commercials quite vividly along with Art Van, Father and Son Construction, Waterbed Gallery and Wonderland Music.

Oh geez, I need to see this Detroiters show, I grew up watching all of those ads in the Detroit burbs. Nike Air Force Ones... 29 or two for 50... Converse...15 bucks.. There are some old Little Ceasars Pizza commercials they could do too.

At least he admitted he's from the suburbs, nobody really understands Detroit culture like Detroiters do 🤷🤣
@henriashurst-pitkanen87354 жыл бұрын
Or people who live there for a while? It's not exactly an ethnicity, dude...
@xGMOGaming4 жыл бұрын
@Henry Ashhurst huhhh??!!! 🤣 what are you getting at? Nobody mentioned ethnicities, it's just a city thing.
@henriashurst-pitkanen87354 жыл бұрын
@@xGMOGaming My point was that people can "understand Detroit culture" by living there and interacting with the people etc. It's not like an exclusive cultural thing, i.e., like an ethnicity. It was an example.
@xGMOGaming4 жыл бұрын
@@henriashurst-pitkanen8735 lol na man, maybe over time after explaining things but the way of life, famous people, famous places, inside jokes & etc. it's always going to be similarities but just like anywhere you go, different cities, different customs. For example, Hardies & Carls Jr. lol calling soda pop and pop soda. Saying McDonald's & calling it Micky Dee's, calling a store Aldi or Kroger & then calling them Aldi's or Kroger's. See what I mean? Its not like a ethnicity, and yeah it's always going to be similarities place to place, we can generalize comparisons between ways of life all day but w/ different people, different customs, it's like saying from New York to San Fransisco, Chicago to Miami my understandings of customs, people and the area is going to be the same.
