Being articulate is pointless if you don't experiment with desarticulation, specially if you're an actor. Also, kinda iffy using the term articulate to describe an African American actor while referencing a tertiary (adjunct) character whose main comedic trait was speaking Ebonics in Space, but Tim himself doesn't seem to care, I'm nevertheless replying to a two year old comment, and it's clear that you have nothing but respect for him and his work so, i dunno, just take it as a friendly remark from a Spaniard who is fascinated by American history (so short yet so intense and influential in today's world, besides, the point of learning history is to understand the present and build a better future :) )

There are actors that have to be someone else to fit a role. Those that are type casted for life. Then there are those that are the same in RL and in every role. Makes for an effortless transition from RL to work and back again. Something tells me, learning lines is all Tim has to do. As the rest of it is as natural and effortless as having a RL conversation with the food truck folk outside studio 16. :)

Currently I'm watching the whole Voyager series for the first time, and Tuvok is my favorite character in the whole series because of his dry sarcasm and his reserved personality. It's so great to realize that the way Russ played Tuvok has sticked with him and comes to the surface in some roles, for example in the "Friends" section in this video.
