I have done nothing to better the lives of those people around me. I am so grateful that Dave has helped me get on a path where I can truly make a difference and try to fulfill God’s plan for my life.

“To the fans and everybody in Gator Nation, I’m sorry. I’m extremely sorry. We were hoping for an undefeated season. That was my goal, something Florida has never done here. I promise you one thing, a lot of good will come out of this. You will never see any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of the season. You will never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season. You will never see a team play harder than we will the rest of the season. Ephesians 2:8-9 For my grace are ye saved through faith, and it is not your own doing, it is the gift of God, not the result of works, so that no man may boast. Mathew 7:2-23 Not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter through kingdom of heaven but only the one that does the will of the Father who is in heaven. Be very careful, he's no different, no better and less a sinner then you and I.

That may be true, but it is still worth taking sound advice that is applicable in everyday life. Personally I see things like this helpful in a sense of helping you find a vocation in which to serve God with your talents. It should not be with worldly motives, but sometimes believers need guidance about what vocation to choose, how to develop their gifts so they can serve God to the best of their ability, and that's where most of this comes from, I believe.

Tim is a nice guy. He needs some better theological training and influence though. Are “mercy” missions important? Yes. Caring for the widow and the orphan is imperative for the Christian. However, the Gospel is *always* shared with words. What people need more than a full belly is to be shielded from the wrath of God by the propitiatory work of Christ. When you honestly read the Scriptures in their full context, especially the New Testament, you can’t walk away with this “purpose focused” message that is primarily concerned with “being nice” and doing stuff for those less fortunate than us; you walk away with an understanding that although Christ and His disciples did address the physical needs of people their utmost concern was the spreading of the good news of why Jesus came. And that includes discussing man’s sinful condition and need which are far more detrimental in the spiritual than in the physical.
