My son’s youth baseball team. 9 to 12 years old, had two kids we picked up from juvenile detention and one with major violence issues- on a team with just 15 kids. By the time my kid graduated from college, two of his teammates were in prison, one was gunned down by his dealer in a dispute and another had made the regional news for assaulting a state trooper and then jumping off a 100 foot high bridge into a very cold tidal estuary. And you know something- every single one of those kids were great teammates. And never gave me any problems.

As a baseball player, I know exactly why he did that "baseball crap". HAD he started his minor league career around the time he was finished at Denver, I think he had a decent shot at least a call up in MLB. He had a really nice swing but a limited arm and OF range. Good speed but not elite base running speed. (His college football teammate and roommate at Fla was Riley Cooper who also played baseball for the Gators and later in the NFL. Riley was the Gator baseball RF so they must have talked a little baseball) He just started too late and of course, everyone knew it was more gimic than substance. I saw him play twice in the minors. What MiLB owners all agree on is this. . . when Tebow's teams came to town, ALL the stadiums sold out quickly. He put fannies in the seats. So he didn't succeed. At least he followed his heart. How many of us can say that?

I was in Gainesville during this time. Going to school. Tebow absolutely tried to keep this guys in line, but it was a perfect storm for issues. The Gators were No.1 in the country, AND the No.1 party school in the country. The town is super small, and these guys were major celebrities. They could go anywhere they wanted and do anything they wanted. If these guys got arrested in Gainesville, you better believe it was bad. Because there wasn’t a cop in the city who would’ve risked arresting one of these star players in a town that worshipped them. Whatever the guys had done, had to have been so undeniable, and so bad, that even the most reluctant cops, had no choice but to arrest them, or bring cases up on them. I can’t even begin to fathom the things some of these guys got away with.

It's just something some may have forgotten about. Either way, solid video. This is your best content imo, these style videos. Or the ones you do about players who have gone Mia! Keep up the hard work

How is any of this Tim Tebow fault?

This video has aged... hilariously since June. Also, even though I don't subscribed to your channel, YT recommended it to me, so take some pleasure in that!

Mikerophone, you do great stuff, but I have to confess, this one is very depressing to me. I hope Tebow is a good influence on his teammates.... as I suspect that is his main reason for being with the Jags.

Spoiler Alert: Meyer did not have that same level of success in Jacksonville.

Here's a joke, Question: Why can't Cam Newton use the phone anymore? Answer: Because he can't find the receiver.

No love for Urban, he knew he was going to Ohio and left the Gators high and dry. Hope the best for Tebow though!

I remember a Jacksonville newspaper sports writer say that they quit counting the number of Meyer Florida players being arrested when it hit 40.

Good to see gator fans here can be both appreciative and remoresful about this era, unlike fans of UM whose teams consisted of far worse.

We used to get away with all kinds of shit in high school and college. When you're a star on the football team. And help fill the seats you get a slap on the wrist on certain situations.

Tebow didnt kneel because he was benched . kap manipulated could gotten people killed just because he was benched
@bigdaddycountry73 жыл бұрын
It's not a curse. They were win at all cost. Their bad behavior was covered up at UF. They thought they were special. They thought the law didn't apply to them. They get to the NFL. All of a sudden there's nobody to cover for them.

Its really impressive to be such a dominant top nfl tight end and a serial killer at the same time for as long as Hernandez was

People rip Tebow and I’ll admit he was a terrible QB but I’d take him on my team anytime. The dude is a born winner and knows how to give 100% and the Jaguars TEs are really really really bad.

Thugs and dope heads are idolized as gods but Tebow is looked at as weak because he’s a Christian...
@shearermoore85303 жыл бұрын
Not weak because he’s a Christian, he’s just a great college player rather than pro. It’s just sad that such a good Christian “leader” was unable to help any of these guys. All press at that time was about how he was a God, while everything behind the scenes was ignored

@@jetsteeltherealdeal7827 why do I gotta be stupid? I don’t know why you’re getting upset about it. No one ever thought Tebow was weak because he is a Christian. He was a leader. Period.

Hey do you notice the ruthless criminal element leads to success on the field. It takes that same ruthless attitude to wreak havoc on the grid iron. You can't separate it in some people, they can't turn it off. Their parents put them in football because it would curb that energy. However there are but so many football games to be played and it only three hours out of the day. 6 hours in the NFL.
