Great to see finally the Poprock peel and stick planks from B&Q with a KZbin reveal. You bought the larger panels, looks good. I purchased the smaller ones. Do you know, you are only the second person to state the reality of the time it took you and pain occurred. I did a large bedroom 11x13, as a permanent DIY fixture, in the Herringbone style with smaller planks in this brand from B&Q. It took me 2.5 days, I too had a lot of back pain and my knees hurt but the result was fantastic and still is. Girls rule the world 💪. Good for you doing it yourself too. Lovely job.

I was so close to getting the smaller one for the herringbone style but I thought it would be much harder to do! Good on you for getting through it :) yeah I'm glad I scraped my knees off for it it's still looking good

Hiya thank you so much because I plan to do this over horrid tiles in my new property. I also plan to use B&Q self adhesive planks too. Great job

Good video thanks. Glad to hear its wearing well. I am planning similar so thanks for honesty refards grout line. I wonder if a filler to level would help with that prior to laying?

Awesome job, well done... Im going to get viynl tiles for my bathroom. I have grout issues between the current tiles. Looking at other videos I think I'm going to put come some flexible leveling compound first let that dry then put the vinyl tiles on. well done great work and good tips that I can use

Hiya, thanks for the video. Quick question does the grout lines show through? Such as wear lines on the surface or anything?
@timamatin2 жыл бұрын
In the sunlight you can see the dips where the grout is

You did awessome, is the groove from the tiles too deep where you can feel it when you step on ? im looking for something cheap to level the grooves between the tiles but i haven't found nothing to work till now. Thanks for the video and well done on the job ! i hope you don't listen to those fancy shmucks that "know better" then everyone but still hide behind the keyboards ! It would cost me a fortune to rip off all the tiles in the appartment and replace them so i'd rather have a cheap DIY version that i can have some fun while applying it untill ill have money to do it propperly ! AGAIN BIG THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE

Thanks! No you can’t feel the grooves it’s not spongy so it just feels like hard floor.

Hello, is it easy to remove and will it not damage the tile? I’m just renting an apartment so I just want to make sure that I won’t damage anything on the property 😅
@timamatin Жыл бұрын
When initially applying yeah it's easy to take off and move but once you had it down for a year or so it's hard to take off and leaves sticky residue

Will this last for years do u think? I wonder if the glue is strong enough.. im planning to do it on my kitchen too.
@timamatin2 жыл бұрын
Erm I'm not sure the glue feels pretty strong but it is thin so I think over a few years it might get chipped if it's a high traffic area. I have laminate floor on the other areas and it's been down for a few years and has chipped a little like areas where chairs/coffee table is moved regularly.

this is only good for few months you will have the floor coming up for no reason or humidity, water etc, i did this few times and that was the result, our house is a heavy duty enviroments we walk, clean etc everyday do you think a paper that a sissors can cut easily will stand for a great time think about it>?

Number of mistakes unfortunately. One, you never cut the planks over a new one. Good way to waste a new piece. Two, you do not stagger the planks the same every other one. Most use the 1/3-2/3 system. Your setup will look very odd. Three, you should be using a roller to press each one to make the best contact is made. Last is using soft planks will eventually show the grids of the tiles. Continuing walking across them will push the material down into the grooves and then the floor looks awful. You should remove this video as it shows too many mistakes that will cause others problems that they will regret.
