Full live stream of the Timber Carry at the 2020 Arnold Strongman Classic in Columbus, Ohio. Athletes will compete two at a time to carry the 881 pounds/400 kilos frame up a 35-foot (10.7 meters) ramp the fastest.

I don't know, they are different athletes, different strengths, different weaknesses. I would say that in general Thor is better in static events and Mateusz in dynamic events, probably because of the difference in weights

Yeah Thor the best in deadlift right now I wished kieliszkowski improves his deadlift a bit and it's lights out for Thor but got to admit it will be hard for mateusz to improve his deadlift that much but I'm sure he will be world strongest man this or next year

MrZoupsoup I think I understand what you’re getting at here, Mateusz is saying that given the way he trains in Poland, this implement would be impossible for him to drop. This is exactly how you should train, with a painted bar to make it harder for you in training than it is in competition. He wasn’t actually speaking to his grip strength, which is clearly incredible!

@@unherolike - that was the WUS in the UAE. He tore his bicep on the penultimate event and only needed one stone to guarantee the win but, as you say, he ended up doing about 5! Sure he's a beast, but others have trained while carrying serious injuries too.

It seems like the Timber Carry equipment on the right side of the screen (left side if you were to face the end line) was imbalanced to be exceptionally heavy on the competitor's right hand. Bjornsson mentioned this in a Q&A video he made and it does appear that Belsak, Novikov, Shivlyakov and even Caron (although it's harder to decipher) in addition to Bjornsson have the same issue where the equipment leans heavily on the right hand at the onset.

I think this slope really threw Thor off. He mentioned in one of his videos that if he is not gripping a timber/frame at the right angle, his grip would become very weak. He should have trained on a ramp rather than the flat surface in his gym

Thor said in a video that the frame was unbalanced to the right side. If your watch every competitor on the left frame they all have problems with the right side. Most likely the uneven distribution of weight was due to the timber being denser in some areas.

No one of the one side finished the event - they all had problems on the right side of the implement. Thor and other strongman have said the implement on that side is out of balance (heavier on the right side). Way to go Rogue...

Ongelma kans että on nykyään täyspäiväinen työ eikä vaan vähän hallilla käymällä pärjää. Vaikea investoida niin paljon ja toivoa että pärjää maailmalla n. 20 parhaan joukkoon.
