How do you install this when there is blocking between the joists?

@@dkonno18 THATS AN AWESOME QUESTION DAN. We take them out here in Minnesota if we come across them and on our new decks we don't install them, they are not CODE, so we seldom use joist blocking. I noticed on the video of the DrySpace the bottom 1-1/2" of the ledger board is exposed. What is your recommendation to close in, cut a 1-1/2" angle of aluminum or vinyl to create a flashing or is their a product for this, it would have to be notched at every joist and hanger.

how well does it clean itself out of debris from trees i live in a heavily wooded area ??

Doubtful this will work or even last long in a beach environment where storms blow considerable amounts of sand around. Expect that sand will pile up on top of the flat panels causing them to buckle and fall or sand will fill up space and plug up drainage.

*Caution* This product is not a deck waterproofing system. It is only intended to shed water to a interior gutter. Also it can not used with enclosed space under the deck (sunroom, etc.). Installation instruction are miss leading and do not clearly state this.

Hello GRI Sales, DrySpace is an under-deck water management system, designed to provide a usable living or storage space under an elevated deck. From Page 2 of the DrySpace Installation and Maintenance Guide: DrySpace should not be enclosed with a wall around the outside perimeter of the deck.
