Premade by a professional and someone that I respect in the industry and respected by others in the industry would be a great idea. I am starting out but I wanted the things I wanted like a phase 4 and other high end items. I love them all. I also believe with the quality that you guys offer it will take the intimidation out of buying the first rig. Especially not knowing anything and listening to everyone this is the best or thats the best. Anything will work and especially built in the right hands. Josh's comments about the 2 builds was genius and wouldn't mind seeing that in a video with explanation on why it would work best.

Great video series. Not everyone can afford the flagships. Both of these bows are fully capable of performing well in the field. I've shot both...loved the Consequence with its quality components and effortlessly smooth draw. Also liked the longer axle to axle of the Alaskan XT and its speed. If I had to pick one of the two I'd go Consequence. Darton has a winner at $649. If it gets into people's hands and they just try one I believe Darton will sell a ton of them. Nice shooting Tim!!! Keep videos like this coming. Specs need to be apart of a review but people really want to know the little details that you’re thinking about while shooting out on target. That’s what will confirm or change someone’s opinion on a bow other than getting out to a shop to shoot it. Even then they don’t get to shoot it set up. So set these bows up and shoot them outside and ramble on about it! Definitely offer up budget bows on the website with an option to upgrade it. Also how much do you want for it barebow?!?

@joshandtim I love the videos u guys do for people on a budget... I'm a little older so I can afford some of the newest and finest equipment but it wasn't always that way. So practical realistic videos for people on a budget is awesome. And at the end of the day there's NO substitute for just getting out there and shooting your bow... Right!!! So my delimma is arrow building. I know u guys have lots of videos on this and trust me I watched them all. Soit shouldn't matter if I'm buying the Easton X-10's or the Walmart Beaman's the best solid practices of arrow building and tuning is going to help everyone. I also believe building your own arrows really invest u in your archery experience... Skin in the game! So with that said, I believe arrow building starts with the spine alignment, consistent flight every time, right. I will never drop $350 - $500 on a spine tool. No argument they'll give u the best results every time, but I'm not doing it. I would luv to hear some poor man ways to find that spine or stiffy part of the arrow... We've all heard of the float method and the bow vise bending the arrow method, but are there any better ways without a expensive spine tool? Let's hear your thoughts and advice? How about a video of cheap, mid, and expensive arrow build... all built exactly the same, length, weight, spine, inserts, vanes etc etc. Then compare the accuracy, apples to apples. Sorry for the long comment as u can tell I'm passionate about archery. Luv your content, keep the videos coming guys!!! 👍🏻

I love the videos and I like the budget bow concept. I believe you are better off going with a lower price bow and higher end arrow rest and sight if you are on a budget. However, the 100 yard shooting didn't really tell me much about how shootable or accurate this bow is. I would prefer to see group sizes at 30 yards or which one you shoot a better indoor score with. Then give us some feedback on feel after a few hundred arrows through each bow.

The dampening material on the Bear is very hard. For $60 you can swap out the Bear string stop with a Hitek sand trap and the stock limb dampeners for Limbsaver twistlox for a significant reduction of noise and vibration. Use Tim’s discount code and you’ll basically get an upgraded bow at original price.

As someone interested in maybe trying out archery, I expect the bow I buy is "built", whatever this process entails - I am really not sure how the bows they scored were not built bows. Maybe "built" is an archery term that means something different.

So, question. I own a Bear Paradox, and I have noticed that the serving separates extremely quickly on the cables where they are attached to the cam. Almost like the track has too much of a sever bend. And yes the strings and cables have been changed. But serving separation sets back in after 50-100 shots. Not as bad as it was with the stock strings but still. Is this normal for all bows or is it a Bear thing? Might be something to think about for a price point bow, as speaking towards design of the cams and string / cable attachment.
