Went from a budget hand held to a Stan perfeX couple years ago and what a difference ! Love it
@danwattsmessickКүн бұрын
You should (probably already have) give the Stan Axis a shot. I consider it to be the Solex of thumb button style releases. Affordable and a killer option for those not wanting to spend a boat load.

I see very few Carter Enterprise Releases in the gangs content. They are American made. And have held their price for a decade. Their customer service is great as well in my experience.

I honestly shot a bunch of budget releases when I first started. They work, if that’s what gets you out shooting, buy the best release you can afford. And usually your local archery shop will let you try a bunch of release before you purchase one. Try them all. And definitely look at archery forums or anywhere they sell used archery equipment and don’t be scared to buy a used release. I’ve purchased a lot of high end releases second hand, some I loved, some I hated. They generally hold their value when you resell them after you’ve purchased them used too. And don’t be afraid to trade too. It’s a fun way to try different releases with your range buddies. That being said, make sure it’s adjusted for you so you don’t have any negligent discharges and shoot an arrow into something other then the intended target.

Listen I use the 3 finger version of that Amazon release. Been using it for 2 years and I love it, never had a misfire or issue

Folks, you can not go wrong with the Stan Solex. I got one last year and with quite a bit of practice I got it set up as the best trigger ( of three others) I’ve ever used. And it’s the least expensive of all my triggers. When you get it setup for you shooting becomes so easy. My thoughts are it will be my 3-d comp release this coming spring. 👍👍👍👍
@bbarker5766Күн бұрын
I always recommend to the best release that your budget justifies. I'd spend more on a release than sights or arrows if my budget doesn't have much wiggle room.
@juanantonioespinosa881621 сағат бұрын
Nice evaluation! I really would not let a high score in that Stan release. The click before firing makes it not a possible candidate for bringin it hunting..
@cseckel62Күн бұрын
Mel Stanislawski is the Stan your looking for Tim , :) . wonderful video and its hard to beat a Stan but the Goat is extremely nice. i have shelfed my onnex's and been switching between the Stan Solex and Scott Verge Hybrid . i think you may enjoy the Verge hybrid . 2 finger index release with a click . its pretty nice to experience.

I actually bought that Amazon $30 thumb button to see if I would like the thumb button release. I opened it, hit the button, put it back in the package and sent it back. No way I'd even put that thing on a D loop.
@saenfinger4 сағат бұрын
I too bought this SNTXMY release off Amazon for the same reason to see if I liked a hand held instead of an index finger release. I have put about 500 ish arrows down range with it and it's holding strong and I like it. The only thing I have to compare it to is my TruFire Patriot that's 12 years old. It's been a good release for me. I Shot the Bowtech Mountain Archery Fest back in the summer with it and it worked great.

Great Vlog Timsky...... I'm into my fourth release, and just bought the Carter Chocolate addiction 🤔 Think release ownership is a quest..... We are always hoping/ hunting for the crispest pop that is in sink with out thoughts..... Not made that one yet.... Maybe Josh can Mcguiver something based on impulse alone.... Might just go and patent that one myself 🤔😉✌️ Suggestions for testing..... Title x36 I've got the supra x 40 but lust after a title

Use code TimC. Save some chedda and make you betta... I've used a $99 TruBall MaxPro for 5 years. Those jaws are hell on a D Loop... Finally upgraded to a slightly used $99 used TruBall Rave and it's light years better. Finally a light crisp break. Good video Tim.

i picked up the cheap one and have been testing it really only 2 things I hate is 1 the thumb release isnt sensitive like I want it and #2 when I release it keeps grabbing my dam beard hair and I move and it yanks and hurts like hell
@jonathantheunacceptable4259Күн бұрын
There are better nock off releases, I suggest the ones like that but with the traditional lock for a thumb release. Adjustablity on clones are very minimal though, so it's more the luck of the draw if you get one that has a pull that you like.
@joshroberts7093Күн бұрын
Are you able to switch between an index and thumb release without changing your peep?
@danwattsmessickКүн бұрын
Your peep location won’t change, but your left and right on your sight may be slightly off. The way your hand sits along your face changes slightly between the two. I find I start hitting an inch or two right of my point of aim if I switch from a thumb button to an index. YMMV.
@archerash6695Күн бұрын
Hey Tim, you forgot to mention the safety factor. I'm willing to spend a couple bucks to not punch myself in the face with a cheap release I would stay clear of any release under 80 or 100$
