@omnimediagroup57614 жыл бұрын
Sam Beaumont lol what? It’s super high in the middle. You can shoot normally
@sambeaumont3954 жыл бұрын
Omni Media Group - it is noted to be between 16 and 18 feet tall (in the middle) - see other comments. An elite level shooter’s ideal arc tops out at between 15 and 17 feet - hardly plenty of room/no allowance for margin of error and that is on an elite level player. Having a constant concern of hitting the ceiling, could easily lead to the user developing a flatter shot. At the end of the day - these guys did a great job on the floor (their area of expertise) and the practicalities of the garage being used as a basketball court is irrelevant to that fact. But I cannot help question if the intention was to make it a mixed use garage/basketball court before the garage was built or not - having a rafter ceiling and what appears to be a reasonable pitch adds cost - given the severe limitations of the court itself - it seems like either not much thought was put into it, or they didn’t think it through - although could be other restrictions around planning, permits available space etc.
@omnimediagroup57614 жыл бұрын
Sam Beaumont i didn’t realize Stephen Curry was going to be playing here regularly lol. It’s just their garage for family and friends to come play at. Most people aren’t going to be shooting 18 feet tall shots.

I saw the recommendation for spraying which would have avoided the bleed through. However, rolling is totally fine as well. Just do something called "back-painting" first. Once you tape off, roll a thin layer of whatever the color under the tape is, in this case clear. The clear will bleed and "fill the void" under the edge of the paint allowing your color coat to be perfectly crisp with no bleed through. You can apply this method across any type of painting project. Looks good though. Nice to see proper technique on application method and measurements.
