One of their best singles in my opinion.his voice is great and I remember how confused I was when I saw Boy George for the first time . My 10 year old self fell in love with them immediately! 🙂

I might have to look into some more of their music. The only other songs I know from them is the Karma song and the "Do You Really Wanna Hurt Me."

Whatever it is or is not. It will long be remembered, compared to what you hear today. That's why its still lasted.

Very nice. Love music and vocals. Takes me back near 40 years ago listening with friends. Many of those friends have passed on including my best friend George. Rest in Paradise. ❤️💜🤞👋🙏

At that time Boy George was such a tremendous novelty (some would say Oddity) fans and haters clamored to hear and see more of him. Ultimately that's what his videos were about, just giving us more glimpses of this peculiar performer and group. When the chorus of haters started to get loud, he won over even more people because he had the same I don't give a f--- attitude that Madonna had and people admired that quality. Simultaneous to that his music quality did remain high and kept his fans rabidly awaiting his next releases.

Your analysis was lacking. Culture Club and this song deserve much more credit and more accolades.

I thought it was a fair analysis, but I hear you. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😎

I started watching Boy George after I heard Freddie Mercury promote him in a couple of interviews. When he was asked to comment on his early days look, he'd say something like: "it was like Boy George is doing now. We dressed to shock, but it was the music that counted and Boy George has that, he's gonna last."

It’s been forever since I last heard this. I remember my mom and sister used to love him. Agree that the saxophone solo disturbed the flow of the music. So many songs used to be intruded on by that overbearing trend.

Have to agree. If done right, sax solos can compliment the music but too many of them have a tendency to be overbearing, as you said.

A short text description of the party doing the reaction would be a plus.
