What I remember most about that 186-184 triple overtime win versus Nuggets in 1983 is that I listened to it on WCHB 1440 one of the R&B stations in Detroit that evidently had broadcast rights for the Piston games. It was late night and I was hanging out so I had to hear the game on my car's AM radio. It's a game that I will never forget.

@epeeps69 That brings back memories. I used to hate gunning a__ Kelly Tripucka because he would never give the ball back to Zeke. Then, we traded for the most selfish player in the League. Iso Slow, Adrian Dantley🤦🏿♂️. Thank God for selfless Mark Aguirre. He cost himself the HOF by volunteering his starting position to the Worm, but he secured the Bad Boys a place in history as the Dynasty that the League didn't want. Aah, the good old days...

I think we need to see who we can get for Sasser and Duren. I really like our bench of Beasley, Stew, Ausar, Holland, Tecc and Paul but we need somebody at point we can lean on when Cade and Ivy aren't having a night. Marcus is just way too predictable with his passing because he's never looking to score, which every team knows. Need a big man who can guard and a backup PG that can get to the rack and draw defenders.

Tobi and THJ are getting starts and mins only because of salary. Gores made it known at the beginning of the season that he didnt want big money contracts on the bench. Considering how much he wasted on Monty I cam see why. THJ will likely be dumped or bought out at the trade deadline and Tobi will eventually be moved into a bench role with less than 1.5 yeara left.

THJ is on an expiring deal and they likely want to move him at the deadline to a contender who needs shooting. Ausar was not available to start the year and is shooting 25% from 3 and 50% from FT. THJ and Beasley are both going to be very wanted by contenders and then Ausar and Holland can play more. You don't tank your short term assets that you want to move.

@TheKeysToWisdom3 күн бұрын
@@pistonfanaticpodcast656 If you can extend him during the season then great. But if not he is unrestricted and is going to the highest bidder. I could see a path where both of them are moved along with a 2nd rounder to obtain a very late first. Beasley is valuable and the Pistons have room to absorb some bad salary even if it includes some for next year too. Beasley absolutely makes any contender who needs shooting so much better right away and if you take a bad contract with him and send a 2nd over that is worth a later 1st round pick. I like Beasley a lot but unless he is signed sealed and delivered right now moving him for another piece to build this team with would be nice too.

This is not a shot, just reality. Nuggets best player was great tonight and ours was not. Three ball wasn’t going-couldn’t finish at the rim. Got baited into a tech by Russ. 2nd quarter stretch Cade was just having so many empty possessions and lead grew to 9. Then blown open in 3rd with mental lapses. Cade is more then allowed to have a bad night. It happens. But he’s gotta own a large share of this loss. No shame in that. 3-1 west coast road trip. Hopefully Cade can find his 3 ball. Last won games shooting has been rough. Paul Reed is our best big. I’m sorry to say. JB-if he’s got Steve Kerr level chops-would start Paul Reed and Duren would be the 3rd string big.

Besides some bad shooting from fontechio and harris we actually played pretty decent. duren looked a little off. but really we should have won that game but how can someone win when you just get every single possible call. i think they had like 20 free throws in a quarter or something. meanwhile we would go hard to the paint and get beat up with no call. it was disgustingly obvious. This game in particular might make me stop watching the NBA forever there is just too much gambling money now and no morals with refs
