It was the same situation for me Daniel. The 100HP was my first car at 17. I owned it for 3 years and eventually got the yearning for more power. Like you, I decided I could afford to run both so I bought a GTI. The sad thing was as soon as I bought it I fell in love with the new motor and the Panda was sat looking sad and neglected on the drive. In the end I made the decision to move it on and now I bang on like every cliche car enthusiast saying I wish I'd never sold it! 😂

Haha! I’m hoping I don’t fall out of love with the Panda, I don’t see that happening anytime soon because it still puts a huge smile on my face!

I was a bit confused, you said almost toward the end that the Panda isn't going anywhere and you have nowhere for a 4th car but then you said you already bought the car. 🤣 But I can understand your desire for a new car at your age. But at my age, my 52 hp Panda is one of the best cars I've ever owned, but also because it works so well in Amsterdam with the visibility for the cyclist and city driving and parking. And plus, I don't host a VLOG about driving. 😀 Looking forward to the reveal, although I think I know what you're going to get!

Have you considered a 306 roadster you can get a good 2.0 manual with a hard top for about £2-5k depending if you want a phase 1 and keep the panda.

Funnily enough, my first (roadworthy) car was a Panda 100hp which has now been in our family for nearly nine years now. We still have it of course, as I sold it back to my dad after buying his abandoned 318is E36 off him for £500 and putting it back on the road. I’ve done 20k miles on it within a year, and hope to do many more in it this year alongside one of my two Renault Safranes.

Get a 2 seater something before you're old and have a family! I'm weird so I would have a small 2 seater like a Suzuki Cappuccino or a Smart Roadster but the other roadster choices out there will be great as well.

I keep on enjoying seeing what you do, Daniel. Very cool. Also: you shouldn't rest your hand on the gear lever. It's connected to the gearbox (obviously) and should be able to vibrate freely, which your hand restricts.

Great video Daniel! I feel like I’m in the same boat, I’m also considering something to go alongside my 100HP. My current thinking is either a German coupe or a big Swedish estate, we’ll see! Looking forward to seeing what you’ve got yourself in the next video!
