So there is a good few color changes for tybw to make it more accurate to the source material. Ones you've already seen are ichigos shikai being yellow and his bankai being black and white, along with Origime having brown eyes and hair instead of grey eyes and orange hair. The other most notible ones are Rangiku being blonde, Ukitake having green eyes I believe, and Chojiro having no pupils or iris' instead of them being gold

Best thing they did in TYBW was give Ichigo the true color of his reiatsu. It was always a goldish hew and his bankai straight black with a tinge of white. Love that attention to detail.

ooof the animation upgrade is sick and the audio effects are so fire Till now we have associated Quincies with bows and arrows, stop thinking like that from now on, you will see a varieties of powers. Just like we used to associate Shinigamis with swords but now that we are acquainted with so many Shinigami, we see not all zanpakuto take sword forms like some are clubs (like Love's Tengumaru) or spear (like of Ikkaku's Hōzukimaru) or even kido types (like Yumichika's Ruri'iro Kujaku), then I dont even know how to classify others like Komamura's Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō for example. Just like that in Quincies too we will see the cross turn to varieties of weapons/tools, lets not restrict our imagination to bows. But like all zanpakuto no matter how wild or weird like say Mayuri's Ashisogi Jizō, in the base form its still a sword, I think all Quincy powers now matter how diverse all are of the base form of a cross. That being said yes like Shinigami's base is swordsmanship, for Quincy its archery. 13:44 that bright yellow flash is Chōjirō Sasakibe's (old man Yama's lieutenant) zanpakuto "Kōkō Gonryō Rikyū", its a lightening based zanpakuto. In fact the name of his Bankai translates to Yellow-Glittering Royal Villa of the Stern Spirit, hence the yellow flashes That in the end is called shadow, a Quincy ability that allows them to teleport themselves and/or others using shadows You made a random comment on the side, I gotta say you are very very perceptive. I wont point out that comment cuz it will be spoiler.

The levels of this series are off the chart, and it had a massive hurdle to overcome as a lot of fans were dropping it due to the problems at the time (Kubo was burned out and the manga was caught up so around the 3rd "save the princess" filler story, I dropped the series) and a lot of us were worried this wouldn't work. But just that opening and hearing Number 1 cleared up all of that, the things coming is going to be WILD, I am itching at wanting to see cour 3 for the stuff coming up in it.

I'm German and the subtitles are nonsense. At least most of it. I think Kubo tried to make an incantation in German and then wrote it in japanese writing which then again got translated into English for the manga and subtitles and something went wrong along the way. I think what it actually is supposed to say is something along the lines of: "Sea to clouds, clouds to rain, rain to fog. That with form turns into formlessness. After our joyful celebration the chalice will be turned."
