I built my first birdhouse as a way to get back into woodworking. I didn't think much about what I would do with that birdhouse. Eventually I put it outside and on a whim, I put a camera inside it. It was fascinating to watch the babies and parents inside! I've been videoing birds ever since.

This video made me smile. I have a Carolina wren's nest inside a covered portion of a gutter attached to the roof of the house. I watch both the mother and father bird take turns feeding the chicks.

Got a nest full of youngens under the eave on one of my chicken coops. Had a nest box out there for a couple of years but nope, under the eave is the spot. lol Love those little birds. Blessed with a pile of them on my place.

I am paralyzed but it affords me the luxury of being able to watch the birds all day long. It would be nice if humans would be that sweet to their offspring! The birds are so awesome to each other!

I have a wren nest I saved from electrical wire in the basement. They had gotten in after a flood and I moved the nest to the porch without really thinking. I was watching them and they came back and had three eggs, but I worry with my dogs they might get ran off. I was mustering the courage to take care of them if I had to, but after seeing how much they have to do I wasn’t sure I’d even be able to!
