I am submitting this comment in March of 2020, from a medium-sized ‘town’ in Western Washington, America. It is eerie to be listening to accounts of the Plague whilst we are knee deep in coping with the Corona Virus. Not only can I not even begin to imagine what it must be like to be currently living in an area that is being hit so much harder than we are, China, parts of Europe et al but the thought of living through the plague has for me, become almost surreal. Thank you Time Team for being a constant in many of our lives as we await the outcome of the 21st century’s Plague.

Another brilliant episode. I'm glad Jackie McKinley is showcased so heavily here - I think she's delightful with her quirky style. I'm really glad I have rewatched these. For one thing, one of the first ones I watched had Paul Blinkhorn being rude and grumpy (he was rude on only two or three in total) and I got a negative impression. To watch them again has shown me what a great guy he is. My opinions of most of the Team have been modified, mostly for the better.

As a Canadian, I always get a charge out of how long people will have been living on a stretch of ground in England. In this case, it seems that Glendon was in heavy use from the Romans on through to present day. About 2000 yrs of use!!! And all you have to do is just pull back the layers...Of course, I would have had a laugh if someone had come across the remains of a henge... Thanks for leaving these up. My deepest respect and regard to the TT members for their patience and persistence in uncovering the cemetery. Here in the States it's rather chancy whether a land developer would have called someone if they uncovered, say, Native American remains, let alone take such pains over recovery. Well Done! I think this is one of my favorite episodes! It does seem like a shame to have to remove the burials, but I guess it probably wouldn't be practical to leave them there & build on top of them. If it was me I'd want to keep them there, maybe put plaques in the floor marking the graves. I think it would be special to share my home with them!

Michelle Twidwell I mean no offense to Icu Alaska, but as you noticed from Icu Alaska's good reply some people are uncomfortable dealing with mortality that close. It's not a "bad" thing at all, it's just the way people are. I know some of my close friends had issues dealing with my mortality when I disclosed having my own life threatening episode which thankfully passed for now. I understood how they did not want to be confronted with their own mortality. Again it's not a bad thing, it's just how people feel about death. For some it's uncomfortable...

You may not realize that the archaeologists on Time Team worked full time at their regular jobs in addition to TT 3 days a week. Phil, in particular, who was in his mid 50s when this was filmed, was already having to make concessions due to degenerative back issues that are a result of field work. I know all this from watching the show. If you watch him dig, he throws shovel loads of dirt up out of holes he stands in well over his height, and you can't do that if all you do is work three days a week and drink beer. I get that you're bitter and resentful, but Phil didn't cause your problems.
