As a historian of mental illness, I found this both entertaining and accurate. Most of this I was familiar with and have taught for decades, but hearing about the Monroe family was something new, thanks.

It's not without reason that Noel Langley, scriptwriter of the 1951 film adaptation of 'A Christmas Carol', has Scrooge address Bob Cratchit thus: '"A merry Christmas, sir." You, a clerk with 15 shillings a week and a wife and family, talking about a merry Christmas. I'll retire to Bedlam.'

The one picture of the moon in the frame of tree branches . Resembled the face of an old man... then you found that a few people would have family members incarcerated. To get their wealth etal. Then forgotten.

For to see mad Tom of Bedlam Ten thousand miles I'd travel Mad Maudlin goes on dirty toes For to save her shoes from gravel Still I sing bonnie boys, bonnie mad boys Bedlam boys are bonnie, For they all go bare and they live by the air And they want no drink nor money

It's July 2021-- is the excavation still going on? Can anyone give us updates or reference a website? I for one would be interested in further reading. Thank you to those who would respond.

One question...why did Tony put on the fall arrest harness?? He said it was so that if they needed to they could pull him out and he motioned with his hand to his back, where the rope would be attached, and then he goes down without being tied to anything. Weird.
@Invictus136663 жыл бұрын
He pointed to the pull handles.

Maybe this is where Mother Teresa got the ideas from on how she should treat the sick and poor. Pure evil, since by then, they knew better.
