I have a question, so me and my ex were together for 8 1/2 years. I recently cheated, and it’s been almost two months. Throughout this time. We were able to remain friends and even hung out on several occasions where we went out, he came over, but he he’s been hot and cold saying he sees us getting back together with time, then he says he doesn’t. He’s nice than mean sometimes, I get it. He’s hurt but I stayed through many of the challenges he put me through. He said he wanted to date and I know he is right now, a few days ago he texted me he missed me and goodnight, I replied the next morning, “ i miss you too good morning” then he went MIA again, I was doing the no contact when he reached out on day 3. Today at church he didn’t sit next to me, which he always had; then left before the service even ended like he didn’t even want to see me, but how can he miss me, and then not talk to me or ignore me, it’s so confusing, I’ve tried everything

Success story! My wife left me 7 weeks ago and said we"d never get back together. I found Coach Craig and started watching his videos non stop and taking his advice. I made a few mistakes in no contact but stayed the course. She finally started making small talk a few days ago, we spent this weekend together, and about an hour ago she said she wants to work on our marriage! Geez. It's been 4 months with no contact. I'm doing pretty good but I still keep thinking about her, wondering if she'll ever reach out. I'm continuing to work on improving myself. I've driven by her place a few times. I have a new car with tinted windows all around so she'd never know it was me. Just twice. I've been meeting a lot of nice people so that's a plus and it helps out a lot. :) Thanks. :)

You gotta keep moving forward and be open to meeting new people.I believe ex's coming back is the exception and not the rule , begging and pleading are no goes and unfortunately watching break up videos doesn't advance your personal healing and at some point we have to let that go also.Good luck there's definitely something better out there.

I feel better now that I made a decision to not go back. I'm glad for my breakup and that I told him I didn't want communication. I am prepared to hear from him. But I am not holding my breath. I had a long relationship, too and complicated. I feel more like myself these days. I have grieved it all and am over it. I treat myself better. I deserve better. I owe it to Coach and Margaret. They taught me how to handle my anxiety and fear. I no longer put an expectation on anything. It gives me the freedom to live for right now. Not fretting over yesterday or tomorrow. Time, patience and all of that is fine and dandy but at some point you have to come to the realization that it may simply not be in the cards for you. I'm at 14 months NC/since the breakup. Not a single word. False hope can be dangerous. Be warned people. We're in our mid 20s and we were each others first in everything, lasted together for 2 years. And I am a much better man since the break up. Seeking professional counseling, working on my career in real estate investing, and earning my yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do last month. Shawna T Me too I have an ex when I was 15 and she was 13 Now I’m 42 and she cried saying I was her first love. Kind of nice at least she cried for me and yet my ex doesn’t even move a rock and I move mountains to be with her and we have a baby that I never met. Today he is 5 months I moved back to Canada after she kept discarding me and leaving me alone in a huge house I have in Ecuador And nothing I do she ever opens up to me. She doesn’t say sorry, she never admits anything except that she does admit she never valued me. She promised to not argue and she kept pushing me away more and more. I’m at the point where I think she is a clinical narcissist. She was abandoned by her parents from 3 years old till about 15. She shows all the signs every single one. We are in no contact since like February It’s like our 3 no contact in a one year span I’m using this no contact to move on and forget her She also claims she doesn’t need me to raise the child And I’m so hurt by all her devaluation that I’m at the point where I have no choice but just leave both of their lives And I’m the type of guy that HATES men that abandon their children. Wow. During the time this video was posted I was in the best relationship I could’ve possibly imagined. I lived in the clouds and saw my entire future with this girl and she felt the same, if not more. 2 years after this video was posted and she ended up breaking up with me just a day ago after 3 years together and now I’m in no contact and unexpectedly needing these videos right now. Well yes, thats true, time has also shown me something. She broke up with me cause I wasn't showing enough love and was neglecting her. Well first I was like oh damn, she is right (which well she indeed is in certain parts) but! I had my problems at that time and was focused on fixing them. I also must say, that I have learned and realized a lot now, thanks to you. She has a really strong anxious attachment style and issues with anger. The worst about this all is, looking back I really was not that bad and that cold, I did so many things for her, I was caring, I was loving! No idea if she will ever get to the point of understanding that, but I did a lot! I even neglected my friends and sometimes my work, to have time with her! I truly hope it reaches her some day! Me, the way I am, will forgive her and let her back in my life, because I know, that I can help her getting over her traumas and love her in the way she needs. I am conscious that it will take a lot of my energy, but she is worth it. She herself said it was really intense and yes, our love really was something I have not experienced before, we will see where it goes... but right now I really am hurt, she seems to jump in a rebound soon, obviously cause of her anxiety problems.

Now that time has passed (1 week) I am not angry anymore and see it in a different light, and can definetly see where I went wrong, but sometimes the regret consumes me and I think I was to fault, forgetting that it was probably right to walk away. Made me learn how to control my emotions, I can happily say that I did focus on personal growth and that my next relationship will be even more fantastic. But I am not forcing anything, my life is the nr. 1 priority, I will need to find a woman that fits in it. I'm trying to see the positivity in this process... But it's hard. As if I'm going back and forth. 3 years long distance takes a special group of people to want to be in such a relationship. A real bond and connection that go beyond logical reasoning. But obstacles came and knocked us down with his triggering depression from recent events. It has been four months + since no contact. I love coach Margaret!! Thank you both for your compassion for many of us going through a hard time in life. What if i think i was the rebound?!?! 8 months of deep conversations, vulnerability, commitments, future planning, and absolute bliss, only to wake up one day for her to tell me she's confused and has things from her past to deal with and may go back to her ex. Then she cut off all communication. Ugh. After a week or so of being VERY down, i actually felt like i was in shock, i listened to all your podcasts among a lot of other things and took it upon myself to really look at my anxious attachment style and spend a lot of time completely alone, which i'd never really been before. I saw how i've projected my needs on others, which is why when i lose them it hurts so much, so i'm taking it upon myself to be responsible for my needs and fulfill them myself and not need someone else to fill my voids. I'm still hurting because we really were amazing together, but i'm proud of who i was in that relationship and i know that she has her stuff to deal with and it wasn't about me. I hope to be much stronger and less needy in future relationships because of it. :)

I have a very big change in my attitude over the last day and a half. I’m not so sure I want him back any more. The night he broke up with me, I asked if there was someone he was seeing and he said NO, but that there was a lady that was interested in him. He said that when he and I went into our relationship that we knew it was a temporary THING! Whatever, I’m not one to invest time for a “temporary thing”! I’m 58 yrs old and if you don’t want something permanent then forget it. Meantime I’m waiting to hear from him when he realizes what we had. If I get the chance to talk to him I’m going to let him know I’m not interested. Had my heart broke once by him, why would I set myself up for the disappointment again. Meantime, I went home a couple of weekends again and happen to run into a boyfriend from when I was in my early 20’s. That was 37 years ago and we both still have that spark for each other. Going home again this weekend and hoping to see him again. He will always be a life long friend if anything else doesn’t come about.

Wow...my ex left me after 10 years also! He doesn’t want to talk to me as he says he needs space and that it will sway his decision making. I’ve made mistakes when he decided to reach out to me by crying and asking him to please not push me away but he has no desire to talk to me. It’s amazing how he doesn’t care how i am, what I’m doing, if anyone has approached me since he left. But I’m trying to not focus on that although it’s very hard. Keeper of Knowledge soooo lol I tried to get him back like 5 days after the breakup. I begged and pleaded. This is BEFORE I started to watch these videos. I broke up with him in a depression phase. The last time I talked to him which was like 3 weeks ago he told me he’s hurting too but he’s trying to move on and live his life. Haven’t talked to him since. Well, I had to talk to him about the WiFi the other day but it’s cancelled and I no longer have to deal with him about that and I didn’t respond to him I just wanted the convo to be over. He’s been really angry and hurt and has treated me pretty bad during this whole process. I understand it but also I don’t. There’s so much to it that’s it’s over whelming but I’m trying to tell myself that it’s not in my control and I have to let him go.

Yes. 2 weeks into NC she messaged me "hey." I replied with the same and we ended up doing a "check in." Kept it cordial and made her laugh. I did ask "what made her decide to message me" (idk if that was a good or bad thing) but like I said she was just "checking in" I said a thank you and she finished with a "yeah". So I left it at that and going back to no contact. I dont want to pressure her but I also don't want to seem like I'm desperately waiting around for her either. I truly don't need her but I certainly do want her. Maybe we both just need a little more time is where I am at now. I just wanna say, honestly the dumpee is not always the innocent one. Sometimes the one thing that the dumper does to the dumpee is dump them. So the dumpee shouldn't always just be chilling. Sometimes it really is for them to fix. The dumper sometimes breaks and sees no other choice because the dumpee repeatedly hurts them or treats them wrong. But the dumper's sitting around hurting not the dumpee.

Hi guys and girls... I am used to being ignored when I comment on topics. English is not my native lng so I apologize for mistakes. I have watched many of Craig's videos and I have been through shit because of my breakup. I even went for a holiday by myself and I felt so lonely in the hotel and depressed that after I came back it was even worst. My life is quiet tough. I go to dialysis and I live with my parents. But I study IT at uni and going to get a good job in this industry, for sure. The reason why I comment on this video is... that... I really can not take this situation anymore. I was on the bottom already, after my lonelly holiday. And I have to say, I can not think about my ex anymore. I am giving up on her! This video says... time time time... give it time... But I have spent already three months waiting for my ex to reach out but nothing happened. Only I was stressing myself all the time... thinking about her. I can't do this anymore. I can not wait for my ex and at the same time trying to move on, it does not make sense... I just need to accept the fact that she is not comming back. That's all...
