When someone finds the dress that they love, you are not supposed to insult them in that dress. Not only does it mean that the person's love for the dress may decrease- which can happen but should happen because the person truly feels that it isn't for them or finds something better- it can mean the love they have for themselves will fall. That guy was being so degrading to those girls- and by the way the dresses they wore were in no means bad. I am a firm believer in the opinion that brides are supposed to feel amazing on their wedding day but that doesn't mean that the dress has to suit everyone's style. What might be a 5 for you or a 2 for someone else will be a 10 for her and that's what matters. That she loves the dress. We all have different styles which is why there are so many styles of dresses we can choose from and feel the most comfortable and amazing in. A wedding is not about judging what the bride wears or what the venue looks like or how good the food is. It is about 2 people becoming family in the most beautiful way possible. Rather than insult the brides and point out all of their insecurities- things that they didn't even see as a problem when wearing the dress until it is pointed out- complement them. ok well i began talking more about people in general than just that man who thinks he has the best advice to tell the brides when 'grading' the dresses when it's just so demeaning.
@lunalovengood96702 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree. For a little context, this guy is also on ANTM in the earlier seasons, so I’m sure he was hired on to be sassy. Also, the game they were playing was to basically pick a dress that they think he would like out of 20 dresses. It wasn’t their version of a perfect dress, they were just trying to get surgery and not go home.
@persialionheart2 жыл бұрын
@@lunalovengood9670 Thanks for clarifying. And really? ANTM? Wow.
@kathybee31512 жыл бұрын
I think the guy did exactly what he was supposed to be doing on the show. It's all part of the competition to see who wins. If a bride-to-be were really, truly happy with themselves, they wouldn't/shouldn't be on the show.

He had started working out and lost a lot of weight when we were dating; when I had met him eight years prior he had weighed at least 100 lbs more. For our wedding he put on an extra burst of exercise so he was fairly trim. Now that we are divorced though, he is currently 300+. Which is a shame, bc he is only 5'8.

To be fair, at least in American society, men are subjected to either you're beautiful or you have to be useful. For women, it seems you're doomed if you do, doomed if you don''t, but if you pay for what makes you look more societally appealing you have a chance. Men won't go to these lengths because society often won't let them. Luckily, it seems to be getting better. All in all , I think it's acceptable to say that beauty standards should just not be applied to either gender, and everyone should be able to manipulate their body however they want to.
