Time to fix the edging around my lawn

The worst thing about an old lawn is that over time, stuff needs replacing like anything else. So, in today's video, we will be repairing some lawn edges and trimming others.
I will be showing you different methods for getting crisp, clean lawn edges, from a manual half-moon edging iron to some battery-powered tools. The Milwaukee Edger and Reciprocator Attachment makes fast work of any lawn edging job.
We also replaced a few old sleepers; these had been in the ground for around 25-30 years. Although they rot, sleepers make for the best lawn edging, as I will explain in the video.

Thank you. Sleepers around the lawn are great, but they take a lot of effort to get right and are heavy to work with. Although we were filming too I spent the best part of two days (and 2 men) to replace the 3 sleepers. If you're doing it for a client, I would think about a day rate rather than a quote

Good job Robbie, i noticed that there is a drop from the top of the sleeper to the earth in the border, is that so the lawn can drain? I need to do this to my lawn this year so this video is dead helpful👍 Kev

The water will find away out, its not sealed like if there was concrete.

Why do you put gravel underneath the sleepers? Drainage and leveling?

Why do you use wood for that. Aound here most use Concrete stones or natural stones around the yard.
