What wattage do you use for the tape on the tiles for Loki’s hide box? I loved that idea never thought of that at all my ackie is a baby atm I have a tile on some bricks with a heat lamp on top of it it hangs underneath it so something like Loki’s hide box I’d love to do I want to get a pair of ackies and do it

Dimensions are roughly 900/400/450mm. Temps are set to 30c.

I started her in a 120/60/60cm that she quickly outgrew and then she went in to a 120/120/60cm. From there she went into this 210/90/120cm which I think is still not big enough for her.

I didn’t build this one. I chose to go with a universal rock background for its durability.

@Beaches Scaly Beasts damn I don't have that kind of budget I've already spent $800 on this build due to the price of wood & everything else I'm going to try foam & drylok lots of coats of drylok so she can't shed it as easily

Ha ha ha ha changing the pronouns lol. A bit of advice. Years of having crazy Jack Russell's getting themselves into mischief and spending occasional nights confirmed to a cage at vet to recover from whatever they managed to do to themselves, they are always completely fine !! They go from having huge free range of house and yard to confinement. We feel terribly guilty restricting them for a very short term but they forget and forgive quickly and it's just us owners that feel bad lol. They are always good and don't suffer I'll effects just our conscience ha ha ha. Herculean effort and pat yourself on the back Luke. Brilliant job

They are certainly handy if you need to move them around a bit. I don’t mind them all in all but they have some pros and cons.

@@dannyamos313 pros: light weight, water proof, functional, easy to clean. Cons: ugly, crap colours, hard to customise, crappy light hanging options, doors don’t line up properly.

I am about five minutes in and I already have questions. I want to type them out in case you don't address them. Why do you have a mask on to clean ou the enclosure (apx 5 min in)? The title of the video says Loki girl but so far in the video you keep calling Loki he and boy.

Sorry I didn’t see this comment. I discovered eggs while moving her so that means she’s a female. I always thought Loki was a male. The mask if for my allergies and safety while digging out substrate.

@@BeachesScalyBeasts, In this video or in another you do explain that you found her slug eggs and that is a definite sex indicator ;) I wonder if I should use masks when cleaning enclosures. I don't want to be allergic to my animals. I handle all of mine. I know that people that have cobras, namely spitting cobras, become allergic all the time. The venom dries and becomes airborn and it causes allergies and then just having a spitter is a risk. I think they shouldn't be in private collections for that reason alone. I don't know if you follow Dingo Dinkleman, he's in South Africa. He is deathly allergic to cobras but especially kings (and mambas) but he keeps them. He's a great guy. If you haven't watched his stuff you are missing out. He has a few venomous bite stories that had him facing death, now just cleaning enclosures has him facing death. He has to hire people to do it. I hope your allergies aren't so bad and don't get worse.

@@BeachesScalyBeasts Well that’s a positive. I used to have huge 10x2.5 marine aquariums etc and moved them from pillar to post, or the owners would sell 4 months after moving in. I decided to never get a marine tank again until I bought something.
